Wonderful News!

A Victory for God's people in the state of Missouri, the Missouri State House voted on a proposed Constitutional amendment to allow public prayer as stated in the Bill of Rights, as long as it doesn't bother others within the vicinity. Schools are also required to display the Bill of Rights in their buildings. The amendment will be voted on in the Senate next.

The vote passed by a 132-11 margin.

If this Nation will look to God, and seek His face, we will continue to see great things happen. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says this: 'If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.'

As the last days are upon us, those verses should be a call to all who hear them, and to take heed the calling that the Lord has laid upon each ones' heart, the Bible speaks of these last days in 1 Timothy 4:1-5 - 'Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.'

As those verses give us a sense of, and the signs for the last days, as Christians, here are some of the things we should take care to acknowledge in these last times; regarding our steadfast approach, found in the First Epistle of John 2:15-17, Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

Continue to pray for America. Give thanks and praise in all things.

God bless!

  1. I fail to see where the people of Missouri did not have the Constitutional right to pray. Are the people in that state, including their legislature so ignorant of the Constitution that they need to be able to tell people through a state Constitutional amendment what their own rights are?

I find that when government feels it has to back up any religious doctrine with the force of law or statue enforcement, it has stepped into the boundaries of the church, and that can only lead to trouble in our society in the long run.

  2. Mr. Raven,

I'm not real sure what the laws were concerning this type thing before this amendment. At any rate, it is a good thing. It is always a good thing when the state steps in to help protect the freedoms of Christians. Especially in this day and age when Secularism is pummelling what vestiges of the West remain. Hopefully, this is a sign that things are turning for the betterment of America.

    Thanks for commenting.

  3. How different the world might be if you so-called "Christians" cared about REAL issues.

You are in for a BIG surprise come judgment day. It will be better that a millstone were tied about your neck if you can grasp the reference. People like you are what keep people away from God, you hypocritical, shameful waste of flesh.

    That's true...in a way, anyonymous.
So many Christians of today's era have sided with the Secularists, and have furthered the causes consistent with the thinking that "America is in no sense found on the Christian religion." How foolish!

So many want to take from the Rich and give to the poor. Systematically creating more poverty and forcing others to join the ranks of the poor. Socialism, my friend, it is Socialism.

To so many in America, it's about pouring smut into their homes, and robbing their children a lifetime of a future. Youth Counselling has become more about teaching children how to get a partner into a sexual relationship rather than teaching them to wait for that lifetime of commitment to Christ as one in His presence, the Family bond.

Organizations like the Planned Parenthood have successfully conditioned youth to think it's "ok" to murder their little unborn children, pouring the $$$$$$$ proceeds to people in high places to continue the destruction. How shameful a Nation that seeks to murder in the face of an All-Powerful and Loving Creator. The little babies blood continues to rain on the earth, crying out for someone to save them. God have mercy on those souls! Yes, it's only by the grace of God that these folks have another day to see another sunrise, and yet their minds are riddled with sex and blood-lust! A day wrath is coming friend, if the people choose to continue in their ways.

We have extremists who seek to plunder all that has made us, and yet, the politicians in Washington continue to turn a blind eye and deaf ear to the call for freedom loving people to take a stand, ignoring the threat that is so prevalent across the seas.

Sin has been the plight of our world for so many a generation, yet Christ died for us, while we were still sinners, why people cannot see is beyond me. It is time for America, and Christians to humble themselves before the Throne of Grace that others may seek and find before it's too late.

The "REAL" issues friend, are those of a Nation that forget God. All others are of little concern.

  5. These "Secularists" you demean seem to be the only ones concerned with the fact that:

We've waged an illegal, irresponsible war that needs addressing.

We're using far more than our share of resources and polluting the planet. Our economic policies exploit the resources of 3rd world countries.

Issues of morality are nothing more than bashfests against gays and abortion, an issue far more complex than it's given credit.

It's a relatively small number of churches who are on board with issues of true morality, not to mention, you've got the SUV's (Satan's vehicle) filling the parking lot.

You understand a spiritual reality as Christ saving the souls of all mankind. Not everyone can or will receive Christ. It's not a religious possibility for everyone. There are Muslims who think the spread of Islam is what will save mankind and will even die for that belief. Doesn't make it so. There will never be a consensus on that, so why not focus on issues facing us NOW? Not everyone can identify with the Christian beliefs, so broaden the scope a bit. This utopian idea of a widespread revival does not resonate with everyone.

(This is coming from someone raised in the church, who has come to a new understanding. There is a lot of real issues that today's Christian is either a part of, or couldn't care less about, rendering them a hypocrite with no business telling me or anyone how to believe or live our lives.)
