Schools agree to end Bible distribution (OneNewsNow.com)

LEBANON, TN - Public school officials in Wilson County, Tennessee, have agreed to stop distributing Bibles to students during the school day on school grounds. The settlement comes after the American Civil Liberties Union threatened to sue the district.


The ACLU said in a news release that a fifth-grade student was taken into the gym with her classmates and that the principal introduced the children to representatives of The Gideons International.


The release says the girl's teacher then called each row of students forward to receive a Bible and told them taking a Bible was not mandatory, but the girl took one because she feared being ostracized.

Entirely unsurprising, considering the nature of the ACLU, which claims to be a bastion for "the liberties of all."

What needed to be explained to the girl, was that she didn't need to feel "left out," but that she needed God's Word when she felt down-and-out, as indeed, there are times when we feel like this. Not only do we need God during the dark and stressful periods of our lives, but we need Him through the good times, as well, as He is the reason for our blessing, while most of our rough periods are a result of our own doing by being persuaded to temptation. When we're not accepted by others, God is always there for us to comfort and protect us in the darkest of times.

What's strange is that this one little girl would be used as justification for the entire school to stop participating in a worthy program for the students.

It is my contention that the girl has never had the opportunity to hear about God's Word until now due to her parents who had their schooling in a college that taught them atheism, and they incorporated this into raising their children. Then the ACLU jumped right on it.

Again, no surprise, the ACLU is an atheist organization, doing what it does best, and that is destroy the freedoms of those of faith, and everything they can to eliminate God from every aspect of our institutions, especially where we need Him the most, in our institutions of education-where the future is made.

Obama Chooses to Ignore America's Roots

May 7, 2009 was our National Day of Prayer, and every President since its inception by commencement of our Founding Fathers, have observed the special day. However, Barack Obama chose not to acknowledge publicly the day in which we pay homage to our Creator, imploring His blessings on our Nation.

This will only add fuel to the fire of atheism already weakening our Nation's image in the world, but most importantly, before Almighty God who has sustained our Nation through immense hardships, and given us protection from the many enemies we face.

It also poses questions as to Mr. Obama's true faith, is he really a "Christian," as he says he is? Well, I will tell you straight up front, that my opinion of his faith is that - No, he is not a Christian. Obama has denied the faith in not only choosing not to participate in the National Day of Prayer, but he stands for murdering unborn children (abortion), and he is an activist for the perverse lifestyles of homosexuals ... and he not only stand for them, but he appoints people to office who stand for, and will legislate those things. And even though Mr. Obama says he is a "Christian," he makes another mistake by ignoring his duty to witness, and further putting his faith in question.

Barack Obama's image seems to be more in line with either an Atheist, or a Muslim. He makes himself appear an Agnostic by his decisions, but moreso an Atheist, than anything.

In ending, a little history for Mr. Obama ...

Civil Governments in all ages have consecrated special days to prayer and the public worship of God. This national custom has a Divine origin and sanction, and was designed, and is eminnently adapted, to give religious culture to the national heart and conscience and to exert a beneficent influence on the civil and religious interests of a people. The Hebrew commonwealth had three great annual religious festivals, besides days of special prayer and worship, occasioned by national exigencies and the judgments and marked interventions of God.


In America we all have the freedom to worship, and hold whatever faith that we have ... but that is only possible because of our Christian nature, which brings that freedom.

So, it can be said, when we lose Christianity's influence, we will no longer be America, which stands for the freedom that Christianity brought to Her shores!

Mr. Obama could learn a lesson or two from that!

Near his hometown, the flag flew at half-staff outside the East Concord Volunteer Fire Department where Baker had been a junior firefighter. He joined the Army shortly after graduating from Springville-Griffith Institute in 1996 with the goal of making it his career, friends said.

"You might say it was his calling," said Lori Ploetz, a longtime family friend. "He was great at what he did. He was respected by his peers."

Spc. Brian Baker was killed when a vehicle-borne IED detonated near his security patrol in Baghdad. He leaves behind his parents, his wife, Amy, and two daughters who were born after his death.

Choice: For Freedom, or Bondage?

Almost two decades have passed since former President Ronald Reagan defeated the Communist regime - Soviet Union. In 1987 he made a declaration to the leader of Russia's empire Mikhail Gorbachev, he stated, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall"... and the wall was torn down.The people could then have their freedom once again. One of the greatest challenges in our history, resulting in the most awesome victory, and the victory belonging to the good will of, and great man that Ronald Reagan was.

As you think about this wall, think about what the goals of the wall were when they built the wall. Opposing ideologies created division within Germany at the time, with East Berlin beingcontrolled for the most part, by Communists, West Berlin being controlled by Democratically electedgovernment. The wall was built by the Communists to stop the tide of emigration from the Communist (East side) of side of Berlin to the West side of Berlin which had a capitalist form of government, which allowed freedom to obtain work and thus, one could fulfill the need of responsibility to not only survive, but give one a sense of purpose in life without the government relegating purpose and freedom downto their own standards.

Communism is a lie, or composed of a number of lies in order for those seeking power to gain full control of the masses whom they seek to rule. The lies consist primarily of "promises" which arewhat we call the 'lies', it's beginnings can be traced all the way back to Adam and Eve when they were in the Garden of Eden, for what God had explicitly told Adam and Eve they could not do, by eating of a
certain tree, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in the middle of the Garden, Satan, then, coming in the form of a serpent deceived them, telling them differently, by saying "you will not surely die" (he lied to them), and so, Eve took of the fruit and gave some to Adam, however, God had mercy on them, giving mankind
another chance. He done it in a way that allowed them to live, yet punishing them by creating an environment that would have immediate physical consequences for the choices they made upon making their decisions, so as to become a learning experience for the future. We experience those same consequences to this day, yet, it seems mankind continues to go further and further away from the truth in pursuit of Satan's lies, "gluttons for punishment" you might say.

It is fortunate that God was merciful to Adam and Eve, and many may look at what God done afterwards in cursing the earth as "mean-spirited", but what people have to understand, is that God isn't the one making the "choices", because God's plan has already been set from the beginning of time, and so, He's giving us the choice, and if we know that something goes against His will, then there will be consequences for those actions, just as there are consequences for touching a hot metal-surface. There are also consequences for disobedience to God on a personal basis, and how one would fully explain to someone that there is a hell, where the disobedient and rebellious will perish, there's really not much you can do without someone there to witness to them and sharing with them, the truth. Now, you may be saying, Who are "they"? Those that are lost, and by 'lost', I mean those who have no faith, or have not accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, or who died on the Cross at Calvary that they might turn from their wicked ways and be saved from an eternity without Him.

So, the curse that God placed upon the earth in the beginning, can and will be considered "mean-spirited" by those who don't know Him, or don't have faith in Him. However, to the contrary, it was not a "curse", but rather, a blessing. A blessing in the sense that when we make the right choices in life, the choices that are pleasing to Him, then we avoid the consequences of wrong-doing and are rewarded with postitive outcomes. Again, though, this is a responsibility we have on a personal level to our Creator; and not to man or created things.

In God's eyes we are all equal, in that, we are all equal to freely make choices which will either benefit or harm us, and behind this, is where the mind's purpose must be acknowledged or realized, the mind-brain connection. We all know we have brains, and that's fascinating...I realize I have a brain, yet, at the same time, I can also fully realize that I am typing this...and this gives me the ability to caption what my strengths and weaknesses are, such that, however I choose to use my abilities will determine the consequences, and will thus, give me an understanding as to how I should choose in the future. I can avoid much of the negative consequences that would come about by wrong choices, by learning from the mistakes of past societies. We can't get ahead by thinking that the ideas we've made up on our own will get us through life without any consequences, we must look back on history at the successes and failures.

This is why we have democratically elected governments here in the United States, folks, so the people can vote their conscience, and based upon the success or failure of past leaders as a guide, and, coincidentally, not just here in the United States, either, but other countries around the world.

An interesting thought comes to mind, while we are on this train of thought - Whatever my choices may entail, they will be, in large part, due to how I've been taught from childhood, alright, do you follow me? This also depends a great deal as to what degree any given philosophy is taught on a societal scale ... if any given society is compelled to teach something that is wrong, that goes against what our Creator would desire of us, then naturally, society can't work. Like, 500 students may be taught from the Bible and a Christian worldview, whereas, 1,000,000 students may be taught from an atheistic worldview. The question then bears the weight as to which one will give us positivity or negativity. Which group will be more inclined to deride the other? This will also determine how the individuals taught in their particular worldview will make choices later in life ... If one doesn't work, Then what? Then society and the individuals contained in it will begin to search for answers, because, in many cases, the previous answers people have received, and espeically if they were based from an atheistic worldview, they will be more inclined to abandon those as falsehoods, and look to God for the answers. Just like the Israelites, who were stranded in the wilderness for 40 years after He delivered them from the Egyptians. This really proves the impact that our choices can have ... we can be delivered, as God will hear our cries for help, but he puts us through the fires of tribulation not as a "curse" but as a blessing, in teaching us to heed His calling not just in the bad times, but in the good times, always in all things.

At any rate, the choices we make, as we impart those choices, handing them down to our next generation will certainly have an impact in the future of this country, and I strongly believe that education, as bad as it is in this country, at the present time, it is getting ready to go on a speedy downward-spiral. How do I know this? As we are already aware, America just elected our first Communist President into the White House, and likewise, a socialist House and Senate taking full control of both branches of government; with these in place, and the dictator/fascist mentality of the left in full control, the Christian Conservative voice at campuses all across the country will be sequestered and the far left mentality will dominate. This will cause major problems for the future, as the ideologies of the left will be used to fully implement Marxist, Leninist indoctrination into place. Thus, the first amendment right to freedo of speech for Christians and Conservatives will be totally lost. This, in turn, will lead to a fascist mentality across the board and Christians across the nation will be made targets for persecution. The reason for this, and hear me out well, the complacency of Christians in this country on the need for sound education is directly attributable and will be reason for the future, and very unfortunate developments about to unfold. We may wind up like the Israelites, which appears very likely, and be held in bondage for many years, until the people come to a realization (maybe, hopefully, sooner than we think) that man (government) is not their source of true hope.

Just to give you another illustration of this subject of 'choice', as to how they can be either right or wrong, and how we can learn from past choices made...Just take an example from Khrushchev, who thought that the Communist ideology was the "be all, and end all" of existence, proclaimed after Ronald Reagan had the the Berlin wall torn down, he said that, "the very political movement that he defeated, will bring America down" ... Well, he was right in one sense, but he is definitely wrong about Communism. Communism didn't work for Germany, it hasn't worked, and it will never! Many have tried it, but it has always failed, and failed miserably at that.

America is getting ready to find that out, I'm afraid, and in a very unfortunate way!

Those who espouse it (communism), have never lived through it, and thus, as all past societies who've tried have proven, they will have to learn it the hard way, and experience its damaging effects.

I believe this will be a major world eruption of political factions around the world, with some very troubling times ahead ... and all due to one nation, yes, this nation, America; which could not see the necessity in making the wise choice in electing their leader! Instead, their choice was one impacted by believing lies, and now it will cost them!

Education is where it's all at, folks, and unless we remove the communist-ideologically based textbooks from classrooms our nation will see some brutal times!

More than that, though, it's in the hearts of God's people to make the change, unless we make an effort to serve the Lord and have revival, then we can't expect God's blessing! That's the most beneficial choice we can make to change the world, is through witnessing about the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Obama’s Quasi-Christianity - Unfruitfulness

When one listens to Barack Obama talk about his “faith”, that is one thing, but whenever you take a look at his record it is entirely another story … Obama espouses to supposedly be a “Christian”, and when questioned about Christianity or Jesus Christ being the only way to heaven, he retorts with – “Christianity is the only way for me”, and proclaims that there are “many pathways”. Evidently, Mr. Obama, when put up against the truth, in actuality, does not know Jesus Christ as his personal savior, or he would understand and know God’s Word regarding the only way to heaven. When we open God’s Word, Jesus tells us specifically reading from the book of John – John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life, No one comes to the Father except through me. “ Jesus then goes on to state in verse 7, “If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well.”

What is Jesus saying? In essence, what He’s saying is that there is only one way to have salvation, and that’s through accepting His ultimate sacrifice on the Cross as forgiveness for our sins (you could call this “humanism” of sorts, as Christ came as the ultimate form of a human, with the greatest love for humanity…totally unlike today’s radical personal autonomy that humanists use to justify all kinds of societal decadence), and then, walking steadfast daily in accordance to how God’s Word says we should live, with every thought and action as fruit (works) of the Spirit that God has given us through the infilling of His Holy Spirit.

Some would call it “Spiritual relativism” which is used by secularists in this day and age to suggest an area of separation in order to lessen the perception of God’s awe-inspiring power in the lives of those who’ve accepted Christ as their personal Savior, and thus, are profoundly changed from within.

In truth, however, when we examine the secularists argument, and what we believe, we can notice the stark differences from an overview of the underlying realities of each – One is positive and one is negative. Just to illustrate this, I’ll give you an example – If I engage in a discussion with a secularist, and I say, “Islamists are wrong in the ideological thinking, because it condones murderous terrorism” They are likely going to shout back, “How do you know it’s wrong?” and then they’ll point back to a part of history and blaming Christians for something that was done similar in nature regardless of the circumstances, which, in most cases was done in self defense, and self-defense cannot be characterized as a “murder” but as Justice for wrongs committed. At this point, it comes down to “moral relativism” for the secularist, and they are willing to justify the acts committed by those who commit such acts attributing them to the culture of said individuals. Now, to expose the flaw in the secularists’ argument…to take two different ethnic groups and try to place them under the same scrutiny as justification for the same wrong committed doesn’t work, and will never work… this is why we have governments which create laws against such acts. The simple reason for this is, you have to go back to the beginning of history to find the first documentation law, and that would be found in Genesis … when Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden, this is where morality first began, when God spoke to them regarding their sin against His Will this is when the law began henceforth … law is what brings about an acknowledgement of sin comes the separation of God’s love from us…and that’s what I want to discuss with you about Barack Obama.

Barack Obama is more in line with being a secular humanist, and this is what persuades me to have enormous doubts about his proclaiming to be a “Christian” … as noted earlier, when Christ comes into one’s life, a transformation takes place, and this always takes me back to Hebrews 10: 1-18 – “The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. If it could, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll—I have come to do your will, O God.’” First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them” (although the law required them to be made). Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool, because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: “This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” Then he adds: Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.”

“And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.” And what that means, is that once we acknowledge Jesus Christ, there is no room, or excuses, rather, to do, or advocate for those things that go against God’s Word … This is what brings into question, Barack Obama’s touting to be a Christian…if he has accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, then how can he still be for murdering unborn children, or stand as an advocate for the forbidden act of homosexuality and extending preferential treatment to them, advancing these sinful choices? Shouldn’t he be encouraging these folks to give life to their children, and reproving the homosexual lifestyle? Shouldn’t he also be an advocate for Christian morals in school where we need them more than ever?

One would certainly hope so! However, from looking at Mr. Obama’s record we don’t find a very Christian attitude, past associations of murderous intent, and immoral choices that should lay to rest any doubts as to whether or not to vote for him. Mr. Obama seems impervious to the fact that he is not living a Christian life, yet, when measured by God’s Word he doesn’t pass the test…and this is something that if the American people decide to put him in office just six days from now will find out over the coming four years.

In ending…In the 26th verse of Hebrews 10 says this …
“If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.”

That is the reality, folks, before Christ we were under the written law, after Christ we are under conviction which manifests the law…Do away with the law, and you do away with the consciousness of sin, which would lead to some horrible times…which would happen under Supreme Court Judges appointed by Barack Obama.

James 1:23-24 says this … “Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.”

When we do not live up to God’s standards set forth in His Word we cannot bear fruit that is good, only fruit that corrupts one’s self, and those whom we come in contact with!

Give your vote to John McCain and Sarah Palin, and the Lord will bless you and your family!

Obama and Freedom

I don't think Obama is ready to lead the most powerful nation in the world for some very simple reasons...

He simply does not have the qualificatons to lead. He has spent very little time in his position on the senate floor of the house committe, and what time he did spend, he spent looking at a pursuit for power, instead of learning how the ways and means of our Republic is kept free, and how we got here. However, Obama certainly does seem to care about exploiting the democratically elective process for his own personal desires. Emerging as the only candidate to date with a class of individuals behind him of ever-growing proportions who seek not to advance but to depend solely on the government to supply their every need.

Now, while most on the far-left will deny this, what will have to be explained is, from whence does the source of money come to pay for Obama's plans for a healthcare system in whereby there is no expectation to return the favor by the recipients of such favor? As I see it, it is impossible for the government to pay for something that they don't have, therefore, those who work for a living, Obama will raise their taxes and use that money in the form of a subsidy, giving it to those already on the government programs such as welfare, medicaid, medicare, food stamps, etc, etc, and not to mention if they give Social Security to 12,000,000 illegals. Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg...Obama has said he will give a tax-break to 95% of Americans, but when we examine the figures, how many in America actually work and would thusly have to pay taxes?

Somewhere between 185 - 193 Americans fall outside the taxed percentage of Americans, that's almost 200 million people who aren't taxed but file a tax return, and the majority of these 91 million of these folks don't file tax returns. So, how do you tax 95% of Americans when nearly half of Americans don't pay taxes? In effect, the remaining 5% that Mr. Obama refers to, are really the other 50% of Americans that he wishes to increase taxation on and rendering it in the form of subsidies to those already outlined, who don't pay taxes.

This indeed, is Communism, as it were, to wage war against the free market system of Capitalism. Capitalism works because it enables one with a sense of responsibility, and the ability to have purpose in society, whereas, in Communism, the State or government rations out the money suppressing work ethic to the hands of the State ownership, and has complete control over life, property, and the means of production... much the same as Hitler, Stalin and other likeminded dictators likewise conducted societal affairs.

Obama's plan is equal, or the same as those Communist/Socialist thinkers, in that he will use working men and women as slaves to the government that will eventually lead to that dreadful point of dictatorship that had taken over the European countries so long ago.

What we find, thenceforth, is that Obama, being affixed to the notion that he can "spread freedom" by "spreading the wealth" (which is what he told Joe the Plumber) is a first rate lie on its face...and, let's just say it is a good thing he is not in a position of authority with his current mindset, thereby, giving us ample opportunity to expose him for it while we still have the chance.

Does "spreading the wealth" sound like "freedom" to you? If you're a working American taxpayer you know good and well that it doesn't because there are limited resources, and those resources must be defended and protected against those who are of evil mind and want to take advantage of the means of power, like Barack Obama who wants everybody to be equal under the State to dictate every move one makes in life. By far, this is why Capitalism under a system of laws works far better, because it's the government's responsibility to entrust to the people their right to live and own property and work together for the common good, and not have to worry about the government taking every dime one makes.

Overall, economic ruin is one of many other issues that we face in the event of an Obama administration, but there are also others which I have capitalized on in other posts which are equal or greater importance...our Supreme Court being one of them, which would lead to disasters on many levels - Law would be created to destroy life, marriage, education, Church ministries, talk radio, etc, etc.

If you are like me, and you find Capitalism to be the best form of ethics as it creates the opportunity for personal enterprise...then you understand why we cherish the freedom we have in America. Only by the grace of Almighty God are we where we're at today, but our freedom can't last if we don't vote the right people into office. John McCain and Sarah Palin understand this freedom very well...won't you give them your support on election day?

Pvt. Nathan Z. Thacker had only been in the country for two weeks before his death, according to the soldier's father, Stephen Thacker.

Thacker's father said his son felt a duty to enlist. "He said it was his job. Even after he got his orders that he was going over there, he said it's his job."

Thacker had attended Guy-Perkins High School in Guy, Arkansas. He earned his GED in 2006, his father said. Thacker enlisted in the Army in April 2007 and completed his training at Fort Benning, Ga. He arrived at Fort Drum in August 2007. His honors include the Purple Heart.

"Nathan was an excellent man," sister Sabrina Black said. "He loved me, I loved him, and I’d give anything to have him back."

Pvt. Thacker was killed when an IED was detonated near his vehicle near Kirkuk. Three other soldiers were injured in the attack.

Pvt. Thacker is survived by his parents, siblings and his grandfather.


These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.
We Should Not Only Mourn These Men And Women Who Died, We Should Also Thank God That Such People Lived

Public Land Issue

Let's assume for arguments sake...that "Burt" (Our imaginary figure player here) wanted to get permission to use a road-side park in his town or city to witness to people about the Lord and about how He feels concerning some of the injustices that are a contradiction to God's Word. Ok, let's say he were to tell a lie, to get his way, and instead he used the property for some purpose other than what he had originally intended to do, we'll say something like take his jeep to go joy riding through the park and destroying the property leaving ruts, tearing picnic tables us and so forth...Ok, would that be right, for him to do that? No! Of course not....Common sense tells us that...and it's just common sense to apply the law accordingly...anything which would be destructive should be against the law, as it already is. On the other hand, what if "Burt" under protection of the first amendment, which garuntees us the 'freedom of speech' came for his intended purpose - Doing no harm to the property or to others, and was in a most friendly fashion sharing with others the gift of knowledge that God has bestowed upon him to persuade them on the challenges we face in this modern day era of inflammatory, historically revisioned, catagorically 'catrastropic' age of lies...what if an outside group came to silence Burt? Would it be right if the law silenced Burt, handcuffed him, took him to jail and fined him over $400?

If you didn't think it could happen, then you are fooled, because it's already happened to the man in this story.

Sad, isn't it? We are losing our freedoms every single day. When are Christians ever going to wake up? Pretty soon they'll be silencing churches and we won't be able to meet with our brothers and sisters in Christ on Sunday mornings like we have for hundreds of years. Listen, folks, this country was built on the backs of hard-working Christian men and women. We need to start standing for what is right before it's too late!!

McCain Needs to Stand Up For His Faith In God

As one reporter notes:
"We live with a mandate to preach the gospel, to unashamedly testify what Christ has done in our lives, to generously share that information with others," says Schenck. "... And John McCain has yet to give that kind of public testimony, and it's undermining the confidence of evangelicals in John McCain."


...And I agree! As I mentioned in the last thread concerning war, if we are to defend ourselves against oppression and tyranny, we must draw our Nation together as One in Christ Jesus ... and when God sees that we are trying to serve Him, He will give us the victory over our enemies.

Friends, we have no power over the enemy in ourselves, we must rely on God, we must.

Secular America Today; Compared To Our Christian Past

Christian Nation vs. Secularist Nation.

The most deplorable aspect of this assault of the secular theory of civil government on our Christian institutions, however, is the fact that so many professing Christians have been led to join the ranks of the assailants. It seems almost incredible that men who accept the moral laws of the Christian religion, and who desire to honor Christ as King, can so far ignore our history as a nation founded on Christian truth, and be so blind to the teachings of sound political science, and the inevitable logic of secularism, as to strike hands with the aggressive movement that cannot rest until it accomplishes the utter de-Christianization of our institutions.


What happened?

It is true that government cannot teach morality or the merits of Christianity, the problem being - without a sound belief in the doctrine and teachings of the Bible, government has no place to rest upon for its foundation, in other words, government without Biblical laws is weak government; thereby, creating room for division. It is impossible to govern without Christianity, because it is Christianity from which the law was derived...The reason for this, is because there were some 2,000 years of Biblical laws before the Founders backing there judgment holding government together, and they knew that if that's what got them to where they were, then it is a must that they follow the same path, lest they be destroyed before they ever even made a start for America. One way, the best way we can look at it, is through the words of some of the very first Founding documents...

Some call him the "Father" of our Nation, George Washington ... He can be accredited for more than just our first President though...more to the point, he knew that unless there was a strong connection between government and God's Word, there was no way we could stand, as well as Ben Franklin, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson, just to name a few..and again, this proves that we were founded on Christianity, because all of the Founders, not just a few, but all of them, knew there was a power source much greater than themselves, and that the only way government could survive was through a dedication to that, and one Supreme Court ruling is indeniable truth of these historical facts...

It is more than just interesting to note that whenever the founding fathers wrote about "religion", they almost always were referring to "Christianity". Nearly a hundred years later, in the U.S. Supreme Court case of Church of the Holy Trinity vs. U.S.(1892) cited 87 historical precedents in its conclusion that, "Our laws and institutions must necessarily be based upon and embody the teachings of the Redeemer of mankind. It is impossible that it should be otherwise. In this sense and to this extent, our civilization and our institutions are emphatically Christian." (italics mine) Although we hear much today about "the separation of church and state" , you will not find that phrase or that intent in the U.S. constitution. In fact, in an 1811 U.S. Supreme Court case (People vs.Ruggles) the court declared against a man for profaning Jesus Christ and the Bible, ruling that "whatever strikes at the root of Christianity tends manifestly to the dissolution of civil government.


Did you take notice what the Judge said there, Our Laws and institutions ... must be based upon and embody the teachings of the Redeemer of mankind. It is impossible that it should be otherwise, because anything that would sever the connection between government and Christianity would be disasterous, because it would lead to mass moral degeneration...mor aptly termed - 'Chaos.'

Ben Franklin ... Once, when breakdown in the constitutional debates seemed imminent, he cooled the passions and restored the perspective of the delegates: 'Our different sentiments on almost every question,' he said, '...is methinks a meloncholy proof of the imperfection of human understanding. We indeed seem to feel our own want of political sidom, since we have been running about in search of it...I have lived,sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth-- that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice,is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assurde, Sir, in the sacrted writings, that 'except the Lord building the house, they labour in vain that build it.' I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without His concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel: We shall be divided by our little partial local interests; our projects will be confounded, and we ourselves shall become a reproach and bye word down to future ages. And what is worse, mankind may hereafter from this unfortunate instance despair of establishing governments by human wisdom and leave it to chance, war, and conquest. ' I therefore beg leave to move-- that henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven, and its blessings on our deliberations be held in this Assembly every morning before we proceed to business...' "


To this day, every morning Congress has prayer before they take session. Above the Chief Justice's chair, hangs a copy of the Ten Commandments.

On to John Adams...

February 22, 1756, puts it in perspective. "Suppose a nation in some distant region should take the Bible for their only law-book, and every member would be obliged, in conscience, to temperence and frugality and industry; to justice and kindness and charity towards his fellow men; and to piety, love and reverence towards Almighty God. In this commonwealth, no man would impair his healht by gluttony, drunkenness, or lust; no man would sacrifice his most precious time to cards or any other trifling and mean amusement; no man would steal, or lie, in any way defraud his neigbor, but would live in peace and good will with all men; no man would blaspheme hi Maker or profane hi worship; but a rational and manly, a sincere and unafected piety and devotion would reign in all hearts. What a utopia; what a paradise would this region be!


Our Nation has to take a step back now, and see where they messed up in their thinking, When was it? Well, according to my age, it would be waaay back, as early as 1920 at the Founding of the ACLU, a Socialist organization whose main purpose is to abolish Christianity from the public square.
Christian Freedom has steadily declined since that day in 1920 to the present day. The ACLU has conived and sought every avenue at their disposal in which to undermine and thwart Christianity's influence on society, and one of their main strong points is through our Supreme Courts as an easy shot in their pursuits... such as in the Cross on the beach in Virginia case(PDF files).

Political activism has been an even worse assault on our Christian heritage by the ACLU, as they lobby for politicians running for office who suit their anti-Christian, hatemongering views, a live-wire for the destruction of America. Take for example Hillary R. Clinton, Barack H. Obama, Ted Kennedy, Jack (John) Murtha, Harry Reid, Diane Feinstein, John Kerry, Robert C. Byrd, Barbara Boxer, Charles (Chuck) Schumer, John D. Rockefeller .... All advocates for the ACLU lawyers who seek to banish Christianity by way of law.

So, in actuality, it is the ACLU which is anti-government, simply because they are anti-Christian, anyone who is against Christianity is against government, against America. Just as the founder of the ACLU's own words, I am for Socialism, I am against America. And those were his own words. The ACLU has taken their position against America through their interpretation of "Seperation of Church and State." How? By using the State to do the very thing that the First Amendment strictly forbids, which says in the first half of the first amendment - or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ... And what is the State doing whenever they demand by the State that we remove symbols and demand that we stop preaching to the lost? They are violating our First amendment rights when they file lawsuits saying that "we cannot" erect crosses by the roadside ... and these lawsuits aren't even half the freedoms that the ACLU has stolen from us, and will continue to steal as long as Christians allow them too.

Wait! Maybe that's the problem ... Maybe it's because the majority of Americans as a whole could not care less about what the ACLU does, or how much freedom they take away ... You reckon that's it? Maybe the American people are moving away from the moral worth that the Bible has to keep America together. Maybe it's because America has accepted the lie of "tolerance" that the left advocates for.

Friends, my Christian brothers and sisters, we can't allow the ACLU to keep spreading their propaganda, and destroying America the way they're doing. We can't allow the ACLU and their cohorts the Liberal Left-wing in this country deceive people through their lie of tolerance and diversity, because tolerance for deviant lifestyles will only lead the State further depress freedom of speech. That is their primary goal, is to silence Christians, and then the State can do whatever they please, and the Sodomites can live however they want, abortions on demand. No law. Inescapable moral chaos!

Should freedom mean that people can do whatever they want without any restraint, without any responsibility to their fellow citizens....or even the government?

We have so-called "Christians" proclaiming the Divinity of Jesus as King, but yet, they don't want to serve Him, they don't want to proclaim the freedom that we have through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We go to Church to know the will of God for our lives, and to learn about what Jesus taught us we should do...we go to school to learn to read, write, do math, speak english, know history, do geometry, an assortment of different things we learn, the problem is, modern day skeptics or Secularists, by and large Atheists decided that the Founders were "wrong" and that after 500 years they've got it "right." The difference being, the Founders accomplished more through prayer, and a Bible class, than the Atheists will ever dream about doing, an Atheist, he can sit and spin the subject all day long, when the Founders already had the answer to their problems. You see, friends, Atheists will always have new answers, they'll never be consistent, and they'll never be right ... until ... they acknowledge the Divine Providence of Almighty God.

To Christian Conservatives: We need to speak out for the true freedom of our fellow Christians, or they're going to be taken away--The Scripture says in Proverbs 31:8 - Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Namely the little innocent children in the womb, and for each other.

Wonderful News!

A Victory for God's people in the state of Missouri, the Missouri State House voted on a proposed Constitutional amendment to allow public prayer as stated in the Bill of Rights, as long as it doesn't bother others within the vicinity. Schools are also required to display the Bill of Rights in their buildings. The amendment will be voted on in the Senate next.

The vote passed by a 132-11 margin.

If this Nation will look to God, and seek His face, we will continue to see great things happen. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says this: 'If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.'

As the last days are upon us, those verses should be a call to all who hear them, and to take heed the calling that the Lord has laid upon each ones' heart, the Bible speaks of these last days in 1 Timothy 4:1-5 - 'Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.'

As those verses give us a sense of, and the signs for the last days, as Christians, here are some of the things we should take care to acknowledge in these last times; regarding our steadfast approach, found in the First Epistle of John 2:15-17, Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

Continue to pray for America. Give thanks and praise in all things.

Another Attempt By ACLU To Hand America's Freedom To The Enemy

Something all Americans should remember - September 11, 2001 ... at approximately 8:45 AM on that morning ... two planes were hijacked by terrorists ... were driven into two of the largest towers in New York City - The World Trade Center.

Shortly after these brutal attacks, Security measures were taken to monitor phone calls coming in by suspected terrorists. A very worthy cause in my opinion, one that calls for every American's support.

This is what we get in return guised as true "Patriotism"...

The ACLU sued on behalf of itself, other lawyers, reporters and scholars, arguing that the program was illegal and that they had been forced to alter how they communicate with foreigners who were likely to have been targets of the wiretapping.


How's THAT for "patriotism"...???

How soon we forget, ladies and gentlemen ... or maybe ... just don't care.

It's really bizarre, how we can have a group in America that is supposedly fighting for the rights and safety of Americans and then they fight instead, on behalf of the terrorists. It is treason, folks, and the ACLU should not be representing anyone, they are the most anti-American organization in this country.

Thank goodness, the Courts made the right decision today, and denied the ACLU Leftwing the right to put America at risk again!

Never forget the great words of Ronald Reagan said, and whom I respect and admire very much: 'Freedom is never more than a generation away, it must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or we just might be spending our sunset years telling our granchildren what it was once like to be free in America.'

What Does It Take To Be President...Or...(POTUS)?

Over the course of more than five-hundred years since our Nation's founding, Presidents have come and gone ... some have led honorably, and some, not so "honorably," according to what each person(s) ideals and standards were during the period of time, and under what President held power in their respective generations...and too, the particular circumstances that helped to guide their decision making as to who they wanted to lead the Nation at that particular time. For some it was Abraham Lincoln. Why Abraham Lincoln?

In 1858, at the close of the Illinois Republican convention, when he was nominated to oppose Stephen Douglas in the coming election for U.S. Senator, Abraham Linclon gave his famous speech - "A house divided against itself cannot stand." Lincoln strongly criticized Douglas for the role he played in the gains that the slave states had acheived since the Compromise in 1850. In particular - The Nabraska-Kansas Act - which was a repeal of the Missouri Compromise of 1820. These were territorial disputes, and for the advancing of the railroad, and also, on the debating of whether to continue slavery, which was a customary practice in that day, for a prolonged period of time...and, as we shall see, this is why Abraham Lincoln, not merely for his own personal gain in becoming Senator, but had the God-fearing honesty, decency and dignity, to step to the forefront, and lead us out of this sadistic debaucher three years later, when he took his oath of office in 1861, and with it, would come much heartache and tears - Th worst and bloodiest battle in all of American history - The Civil War. On March 4, 1861 - Abraham Lincoln gave his first inaugral speech, pleading with the South to remain with the Union, he did not want to take action militarily against the South for fear of pushing other states out of the Union. He sought to find middle ground. 18 months later, on September 22, 1862, The battle, the single most bloody day of the war, gave Lincoln the opportunity to make the greatest speech in all of American history - The Emancipation Proclamation which gave blessed freedom to slaves in all the states in rebellion. These are some of his words -
And, by virtue of the power and for the purpose aforesaid, I do order and declare that all persons held as slaves within said designated states and parts of state are, and henceforward shall be, free; and that the executive government of the United States, including the military and naval authorities thereof, will recognize and maintain the freedom of said persons.

What a wonderful day it must have been, for millions upon millions, with tears of despair, replaced with tears of hope and effervescent joy, overflowing.
What kind of President was Abraham Lincoln? With his re-elction, in his second inaugral address, he provides us with the answer to that question...here's a few paragraphs from that address-
American Slavery is one of those offenses which, in the providence of God, must needs come, but which, having continued through His appointed time, He now will to remove, and that He gives to both North and South, this terrible war, as the woe due to those by whom the offense came, shall we discern therein any departure from those divine attributes which the believers in a Living God always ascribe to Him? Fondly do we hope--fervently do we pray--that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue, until all the wealth plied by the bondsman's two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash, shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said, "the judgments of the Lord, are true and righteous altogether." With malice toward none; with charity for all; with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in; to bind up the nation's wounds; to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan--to do all which may achieve and cherish a just, and a lasting peace, among ourselves, and with all nations.
What kind of man was Lincoln? A God-fearing Christian man! One of the most common arguments you hear coming from modern Secular skeptics these days is that, Christianity and the bible "support" slavery. What does the bible say? Were they treated like slaves were in the 1800s? Leviticus gives us some incite...Leviticus 25:53 - He is to be treated as a man hired from year to year; you must see to it that his owner does not rule over him ruthlessly. Hmmmm...Let's see, they got paid, were given plenty to eat, a place to sleep, they went to church (as was required by God), so forth and so on. Doesn't sound to me like cruelty or mis-treatment, but of servants of their own free will, willing to work, so they could survive, Unike today, with government spending on special treatment and entitlement programs, which translates into tyranny by judges.

Abraham Lincoln provided us with perhaps, the perfect role model for all Presidents, for all time to come, because he stood for? For freedom, and he realized that all of man's rights are from God, and that any civil body politic enacting any civil law that went against what God's Law says, isn't law, is tyranny, and must be overthrown. That's why slavery was defeated, it was the free and civil, God-fearing men and women, like Abraham Lincoln who believed in, and stood for freedom, who defied all odds for the freedom of America.The same goes for today, in far distant lands, many people and walks of life have zero freedoms to the desires atheist Communists, Iran is one of them, whose leaders are radical extremist oppressing their people so longing for freedom...but through the bravery and trust in Almighty God, they will see their freedom some sweet day, and the chords of tyranny will be broken!

Can America maintain freedom? With another Presidential election fast approaching, we must make a new decision for the future, just like Abraham Lincoln did a hundred and forty-seven years ago to ensure our future!

THE GIFT

I found this in the Sunday paper and couldn't help but share it with you.

T'was the night before Christmas, he lived all alone, in a one bedroom house made of plaster and stone.


I had come down the chimney with presents to give, and to see who in this home did live.


I looked all about, a strangle sight I did see, no tinsel, no presents, not even a tree.


No stocking by mantle, just boots filled with sand, on the wall hung pictures of far distant lands.


With Medals and Badges, awards of all kinds, a sober thought came through my mind.


For this house was different, it was dark and dreary, I found the home of a Soldier, once I could see clearly.


The soldier lay sleeping, silent, alone, curled up on the floor in this one bedroom home.


The face was so gentle, the room in such disorder, not how I pictured a United States Soldier.


Was this the Hero of whom I'd just read? Curled up on a poncho, the floor for a bed? I realized the families that I saw this night, owed their lives to these soldiers who were willing to fight.


Soon around the world, the children would play, and grownups would celebrate a bright Christmas day.


They all enjoyed Freedom each month of the year, because of the Soldiers like the one lying here.


I couldn't help wonder how many lay alone on a cold Christmas Eve in a land far from home.


The very thought brought a tear to my eye, I dropped to my knees and started to cry.


The Soldier awakened and I heard a rough voice, "Santa don't cry, this life is my choice;


I fight for Freedom, I don't ask for more, My life is My God, My country, My Corps."


The Soldier rolled over and soon drifted to sleep, I couldn't control it, I continued to weep.


I kept watch for hours, so silent and still and we both shivered from the cold night's chill.


I didn't want to leave on that cold, dark, night, this Guardian of Honor so willing to fight.


The Soldier rolled over, with a voice soft and pure, whispered, "Carry on Santa, it's Christmas Day, all is secure."


One look at my watch, and I knew he was right. "Merry Christmas my friend, and to All a Good Night."


Don't forget our Soldiers on Christmas Day!

Say a special prayer specially for them!

REPUBLICANS SCORE GREAT GAINS IN DIVIDENDS ACTION

Washington -
Heading into the last days of the legislative session, Republicans in Congress and President Bush are chalking up some surprising victories on federal spending.


That has put Democrats on the defensive. From a campaign pledge to change the course of the war in Iraq to tax and spending plans, Democrats are now having to scuttle key elements of their agenda. The extent of their retrenchment will become clear this week as Congress moves to pass key spending bills.


Needless to say, from the very first day that President Bush stepped into office, to this very day, Democrats have fought tooth and nail to pin President Bush to his duties as Commander in Chief and force, override (however you want to say it), a reckless agenda of defeat of the War on Terror, they have tried defunding, withdrawal...every trick in the book of Democrat playbook. And there's more...

Even after Nancy Pelosi and her cabal have called out some asinine steps for defeat, they moved to pass on top of the already massive spending bill, on cap-spending, they asked for an estimated extra 23 - 33,000,000,000 for other tax and spend programs ... benefits for illegals, welfare entitlements, SCHIP for low income families, and so forth.

It is a proven fact that as far as matters constraint are concerned, and spendings sake for that matter, Democrats just don't cut the slack, or 'get it' for that matter. They must think money "grows on trees," or something.

Although Democrats have Majority rule of the House in Congress, and even so...divided the country, Republicans have remained united and strong, and thus, been able to move with discretionary actions to keep things running and on time. More to the point, President Bush has a huge victory in working toward a worthy cause with his fine constituency of capable Leaders, by being able to continue the funding of our Honorable men and women in uniform who fight for our freedoms every single day.

Folks, we are truly blessed, to have a President with such Courage as our honorable Commander in Chief President George W. Bush ... to face the libel they (Democrats) spew forth on a daily basis about him, and not only only the Democratic officials in the hallowed halls of our Congress, but the people on the web sites such as Daily Kos, Democrat underground, MoveOn.org, and others who spew out some horrible, horrible stuff about our President.

To be able to take out the stuff those Web sites spew forth every single day, you've got somebody to be thankful too ... and you know who that is? ... Almighty God Creator of All that is and all that ever will be. Make no mistake, you can be proud to call yourself an 'American' with the man that is in the White House now.

Let him know how much you appreciate him this Christmas Season, and write him a special Thank You for putting up with the stuff that is put out against him every day on Daily Kos and others, But more importantly...

Thank him for protecting you, your family, and America!!

Remembrance!

As Christmas day approaches it is a time for all of God's people to join together in celebration of Our Lord's birth. On Christmas Eve many participate in Christmas Carols and Festivities, in the singing of hymns of praise and song to the King of kings. While others are preparing the dinner table, making cakes, cookies, and all sorts of goodies. Still others are wrapping gifts for Christmas Morning. All symbolic of the Greatest Gift of them all, born in a manger, in Bethlehem ... Jesus!

On another note, there are many of our Brothers and Sisters that are not as fortunate, who are enduring great persecution and suffering around the world by those of the Muslim community whom practice Islam/Jihad - a "Holy War", in which much violence is perpetrated against whom they claim, "infidels" in the Christian community. When in reality it is the Muslims who are the infidels, not believing in the Divine power of God's One and Only Son Jesus Christ who died once for all, that all men would turn from their wicked ways. You see, friends, Ours is a Holy War also, so we can turn this around on those of the Muslim community who practice Islam, only for Christians ... We don't fight for God by Murdering, because we don't have to, it's not a physical/political battle, it is a Spiritual one; and if we remain true to Christ, then He says that He will go before us, and fight for us, so we can leave our burdens with Him, and He'll work things out for the good of His people; as long we put our full faith and trust in Him and Him alone!

So, In this Christmas Season, please remember our Brothers and Sisters around the world, that God may comfort them and that He will give them the strength to endure their suffering...and let us also pray that they may remain faithful to the Lord during their troubled times...never losing sight of their Hope that is in Christ Jesus!

Born in Philadelphia,
Marty Horn spent 20 years in the Army as a Military Policeman, retiring in 1993 and going to work in Internet technologies. In 2003, his son Brian Horn deployed to Iraq. Trying to support their son’s unit, Marty and his wife Sue, who also served as in the Military Police, put together the concept of Any Soldier. In essence, Any Soldier is an effort to provide support and encouragement to those who are in harm’s way. Due to overwhelming requests for ready-made care packages on the AnySoldier.com site, Sue Horn started TreatAnySoldier.com. Using his background in Internet technologies, Marty built and maintains the web site. The Any Soldier program slowly expanded to include other Army units. In 2004, the program opened up to include all service branches.. In 2005, the websites for AnyMarine.com., AnySailor.com, AnyAirman.com, and AnyCoastguardsman.com were launched. In the words of the Any Soldier web site: "The success of Any Soldier has far exceeded expectations and continues to grow with the invaluable help and guidance of our supporters, board members and Support Team." In the words of Marty Horn: "It is the supporters who deserve the credit." Thanks to the efforts of Marty and Sue, their son Brian, and a dedicated staff, over 950,000 servicemen and women received support and encouragement they would never have been able to get through the Any Soldier program.
These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy every day. For that, I am proud to call them Hero. What Freedom's Fight Is All About!



Cpl. Jordan M. Moehnle 21 years old from Los Angeles, California Company L, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 6 ("Darkhorse" Battalion) Cpl. Jordan M. Moehnle takes time out of leading his squad in a patrol through Fallujah's Nazaal district to spend some time interacting with local children. Moehnle, who is on his second tour in Iraq, said the changes he has witnessed since he was last here in 2006 have been dramatic. "The city was like the Wild West, we'd put our heads down and drive (the middle of Fallujah) and hope not to get shot," he said. "Since we've been here (this year), we can stop and shoot the breeze."
