Salvation By Grace, Or By Works?

There are different beliefs among Christian denominations as to how salvation is obtained. I remember hearing Paul Washer, one who is affiliated with the Baptist doctrines, and you might remember me posting a video here where he is speaking to a large audience of youngsters, labeled as a *shocking* message - he (Paul Washer) preaches that salvation is obtained not through works, but through grace and grace alone, and when acknowledging that, we act upon that acceptance or acknowledgment. So, it's not so much works that will save us, but our works will show that we have accepted God's grace and the forgiveness of our sins to go forward and do as Jesus taught us, to sin no more.

Sanctification also has an element of grace, because through sanctification which is based for the most part on works, is being guided by the Holy Spirit, this can be attested to by the writings of the Apostle Paul in Romans 8:26 -

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

Did you ever think that sometimes you are too weak to handle life's battles on your own?

Part of sanctification is manifested through prayer to our heavenly Father, so that we might persevere in all things according to His plan and will for our lives. God guarantees good as a result of doing what He asks. That is why, since we are in the flesh, and the flesh wars against us, we need assistance in every area of life, and that comes through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Grace (God's Love) is sufficient to cover our sins, but we have to be willing to not just observe grace, but to act upon that grace in order to be justifiable and glorified in Christ Jesus. As Christians we assess the present in the light of the future assurance of future happiness, as our love for God is evoked by knowledge of His love for us.

So, if someone has said that they are a "Christian," but when we look at their life and it doesn't model God's commandments, or Christ's example, are they still under grace?

Spiritual Milk

In 1 Corinthians Paul makes reference to spiritual milk in his address to those at the Church of Corinth-

1 Corinthians 3:2 -
I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?

As I understand it, the Corinthians had received the knowledge of what the Spiritual nature if about, but were not acting in accordance with the Spirit.

So, I have a couple questions -

1. Had the Corinthians not yet received the Holy Spirit?

Or,

2. Was Paul in a sense, acting as mediator between the people and God? Did he have this same authority that we understand Jesus as being the only One who has this authority?

Feel free to explain...

Wise Saying Worth Heeding Part XII

Today's Wise Saying comes from the book of Ecclesiastes:

Ecclesiastes 9:3-12

This is an evil in all that is done under the sun: that one thing happens to all. Truly the hearts of the sons of men are full of evil; madness is in their hearts while they live, and after that they go to the dead. But for him who is joined to all the living there is hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished; Nevermore will they have a share In anything done under the sun.

Go, eat your bread with joy, And drink your wine with a merry heart; For God has already accepted your works. Let your garments always be white, And let your head lack no oil.

Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun.
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.
I returned and saw under the sun that-

The race is not to the swift,
Nor the battle to the strong,
Nor bread to the wise,
Nor riches to men of understanding,
Nor favor to men of skill;
But time and chance happen to them all.
For man also does not know his time:
Like fish taken in a cruel net,
Like birds caught in a snare,
So the sons of men are snared in an evil time,
When it falls suddenly upon them.

Wise Saying Worth Heeding Part XI

This wise saying comes from 1 Thessalonians 5 verses 1-28; and it speaks of the coming day of God.

The Day of the Lord

Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "There is peace and security," then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him, Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing."

Final Instructions and Benediction

"We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the faint-hearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it. Brothers, pray for us. Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss. I put you under oath before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
"

God bless you, and thank you for reading!

Animals Rights Nuts

Ok, I just wanted to post a response to the video that follows, which I tried to do at the YouTube site where it was submitted, but was unable to get my response to go through. Ok...

What really doesn't make sense about all of this, is the fact that these people - the animals rights activist nuts is, they throw out a lot of hatred for hunters when they have no understanding of hunting and the beneficial effects that result of it in return, because they've never hunted, instead, choosing to ridicule thousands of law-abiding citizens who happen to be hunters who enter the woods every Autumn season, which is an important part of America's history, the Native Americans of which, who first introduced and taught the first settlers or Colonies who first landed at Plymouth Rock in the 1500s the art of hunting - teaching them to hunt with bow and arrow, and my, what the age-old tradition has grown into, it's literally amazing the bows and arrows that are on the market today. What was once a simple piece of wood, with strings made of either leather from the tendons (sinew) in the backs of the legs of buffalo or deer and even the mane hair of the horses that they traveled on. They also gathered materials from certain types of plant fibers that were tough and durable enough to withstand the tension that is required to be put on the bow to create the speed, accuracy and force necessary for adequate penetration and a clean kill of the animal being killed for food, for survival. Today's bows are made of mostly fiberglass, and milled from the finest of technologically advanced hardware in our modern era today, with accessories such as adjustable sights, arrow rests, silencers, trigger releases that you attach to your wrist and a device that has two little jaws at the end of it that open up when pressing on the trigger and then close shut when letting off, cams for ease of drawing the bow back that act like rotator joints and now are advanced to where one can hold the bow back for longer period once the bow is at complete draw, this is called "let-off" that ranges anywhere from 65% all the way to 88%...amazing! Even hard for me to understand and I've been hunting since I was a 12 year-old boy. These bows also have poundage adjusters, so that the strength of the bow can be either increased or decreased going anywhere from 40 all the way to 150 pounds...and that would take one strong fellow, let me tell you! I started out with 45 pounds when I first started hunting and later changed to 55 pounds, and when I last changed I was at 70-72 pounds of draw weight...now keep in mind, it took extra care when I deer was in front of me to not spook it away as I struggled to get the bow at full draw...of course, I used finger pads for a while, which made it more painful to pull and hold the bow string, but after I got my new release it converted all the pressure onto my wrist, making it exceptionally easier to pull and hold the bow string. However, later I began to notice that regardless of my practice, which seemed to be a fairly good grouping pattern, I was missing more deer than I was hitting - at the time, I was shooting right-handed, and had shot right-handed for several years. After a year or so of this hit-and-miss or half-accuracy, I decided to check into a new line of bows...so I went to the nearest archery shop to see if I could get a "better" bow and maybe acquire some knowledge as to why I was missing a majority of the deer that I was hunting. Well, as it turns out, I luckily found the right place...when I got there, I looked at all the new bows that were on the shelf, and they even had an indoor shooting range where I could practice some with the new bow, so I inquired with the shop owner about trying out one of the new PSE bows that he had on the bow rack there, and he said, "Sure, this the one you want to try?" And I told him right off that that was the one I wanted, as it was like the last one I had...after a few minutes of practice and hit and miss just like before, I further inquired with the owner about what was going on with my shooting? And the first thing he told me, "What is your eye dominance? What eye are you dominant in?" What?? I said to myself. He said, "Do this - form a triangle in front of you with your hands, pick an object out on the wall and focus with both eyes on the object through the triangle then close your right eye, then your left, whichever eye the object stays centered on in the triangle is the eye that you are dominant in and is the eye you must shoot with, which translates into the correct handed bow you must use." So, I tried it...I looked through both eyes two times, and on both the object was centered on the left-hand eye. Here's the thing though, after all those years shooting right-handed, many of the deer that I missed would not have gotten away had I known this information before-hand. Since I've changed to a left-hand bow, which is the eye that I am dominant in I have not missed one deer that I could clearly see. Needless to say, it was awkward at first trying to get used to the new side, but I will tell you that I'e thoroughly enjoyed it since. I picked out a brand new Hoytusa ZR200 series bow, and it is right on the mark every time and I've taken many deer since. Just recently, there was a deer that I shot at that I could not see well through the sights and I shot over its back, well, the deer ran about 60 feet and stopped to look back at what just happened (it didn't know where I was at, because I was up in a tree), so I knocked another arrow and just guessed at the general area where the deer was standing (which would be a real Indian-style shot), as I could still see the body of the deer in the little light that was quickly fading on the overcast evening. I went back later that night and retrieved my deer with the help of a friend, which took us the majority of the night as I had to drag the deer for 3.5 - 4 miles back to the vehicle. Luckily, I had a cell-phone with me that evening and could call for extra-help...I called my brother about half-way through the drag and told him to bring a rope and water! Water! Water!...Water! I was getting severely dehydrated from the heavy clothes and heavy pulling...and I would take my cap off, unzip my coat and I could see the water evaporating from the sweat like a geyser...I told him to come to the location where he could get to us after we found the railroad tracks just above the river and upstream about 1.5 - 2.0 miles. After a bit more dragging, I seen a little light coming up the tracks and boy was I ever glad to see him and that big bottle of water...then after we got the deer back to his pickup truck, we had to drive back to the hunting location where we had to walk about a mile and a half more where my pickup truck was parked, and I was wearing pretty thin...then we drove back home and hung the deer up at about 1 AM in the morning, I skinned the deer so that the meat would cool-out good for the next day which took about 30 minutes in total. Then off to clean up before hitting the hay, grabbing some cookies and milk and it was 2:00 AM on the dot, sitting there amazed, at the Lord's blessing us with a successful hunt and the strength and safety from a heart-attack or a broken leg getting the deer home. Needless to say, it took a few days to get rested up from that adventure in the middle of the frosty night through the dark hills and hollows. I could not imagine dragging an elk or moose...those are thousand-pound animals that would require heavy machines to retrieve to say the least and would take days to process.

In my response to the person who posted this video:

There is a point to be made in harvesting animals, it would be essentially thinning the herd to make it healthier. Also, it creates a peaceful form of recreation to get away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday stress-filled lives and connect with nature in much the same way the Native Americans did, of course, that was their living, their very survival, and they had to hunt for their food. Much different than today with the ability to obtain meat through the farming of cattle, chickens, turkeys, and pigs (bacon - one of my favorites). The farmer knows how many animals he can afford to raise on his budget, and he also knows how much land he has for a reasonable number of animals to keep on - putting too many animals on his piece of property would create a poor environment, it would overgrazed, or would be too crowded and the animals would become malnourished and diseased from the close proximity to each other through the overcrowded area. This same scenario applies to wild creatures...if we'd allow nature to have its way, there would be little if any deer to speak of. I remember listening to many old-timers on the subject, and every one of them exclaimed that there were no deer at one time in this part of the country, they became overpopulated, contracted a disease and all perished. This, until they introduced them back in the early 70s, and as they began to spread they had one trail that they used everywhere they went, and there were just a few hundred then...then around the year 2000 the deer population had grown to outlandish proportions, there were deer being found in the woods everywhere lying dead from lack of food, they had browsed the tree limbs for their nourishing buds as high as they could reach standing on their hind-hooves, and then there was no more. Now, keep in mind, deer hunting was legal during this entire time, but you were only allowed so many deer per year, like 3 or 4 and then they opened deer season up on the does (female deer) with a rifle...and let me tell you, it has been several years since then, and the deer that remained/remain are much bigger and fat as butter balls now. Very much healthier I must say! That, to me, really just goes to show that the land can only support so many deer in order to maintain a healthy environment for the deer and other species to thrive on. You see, what the animal rights activists don't get, is that everything gets out of balance when one is taking more than its fair share. Now granted, we humans have probably taken more than our fair share of the game species populations...but here is the entire point - you must keep the entire population in check from year to year, for it doesn't take long for them to become overpopulated. If nature has its way, then there is much pain and suffering, and I have seen this pain and suffering first hand. It's not pretty. It's sad!

I would also make the point, that ... if we want to keep our wildlife, then we must reduce the land being purchased through large land companies like Plum Creek corporation creating urban-development, that is essentially, homes being built on prime wildlife habitat...when this happens, it pushes the wildlife in a tighter space, kind of like in our own houses, if we become what are called 'pack-rats' we don't have as much space to move around and occupy in the house and we are prone to an accident happening. Well, that's essentially the way it is with deer and other wildlife when we are encroaching in on their home and we fill it with our homes.
Also, the construction of new roads must also be factored in, new roads makes it easier to access deer and increases illegal hunting activities...yeah, you guessed it, shooting deer from a vehicle, which is illegal. Roads also unfortunately create a hazard with vehicles hitting deer and killing them, I don't know how many over the years that I've seen while driving down the road that we lying by the roadside dead...and on an interstate freeway, tractor and trailers hit deer sending them for a loop and creating a mess. Of course, the Interstate traffic people have taken measures in recent years to correct this issue by putting up 9 ft. tall fences in areas where deer are prone to cross the freeway, and this has helped greatly.

So, here' what I would suggest. Ok, there is already National Parks and National Forest areas owned by the government that is free to the public, instead of allowing these land corporations to make literally billions and even trillions of dollars from it by butchering it, the government could expand more of the areas designated for National Forest area and they wouldn't have to compensate Plum Creek or whoever for anything.

You see, good folks, all these new things taking place, like the new serial numbers on ammunition, extra taxes on ammunition, paying an outrageous sum of money to Plum Creek to hunt a tiny 400 acre tract of land is all working to the favor of the animal rights activists and gun/weapon-control advocates, making it to where its going to become almost impossible to hunt in the near future. Well, that's essentially what it all boils down to. I don't know about you, but that makes me one unhappy camper!

That's how communism gets started, my good friends, a little bit at a time, inch by inch, day by day they take a piece of our freedoms away. In doing it in that fashion/order it is correctly termed socialism, but the final goal or result is, as I said, communism-complete control by the State (government) over personal/individual liberties/rights/freedoms. They don't see the very end result, being one of chaos and mayhem with the most lawless of the lawless being the ones with weapons in their hands...whose intent is to take the very life-blood of the most precious of God Creation, us humans. They don't see that, no!

But to get back to the point, they don't see the point either in maintaining a healthy wildlife population through allowing hunting, or the life-long enjoyment of the tradition that is handed down through the generations in families being able to share in God's wondrous fountain of beauty in the outdoors that is a part of hunting. You know, while I'm onto this, for those of you who are hunters like myself, I'd like to share that I received as a gift just before hunting season in 2004 The Sportsman's Bible, which can be purchased at Holman's Bible Publishers that is bound with Denier Nylon for a cover, which you can carry into the outdoors when you go hunting, camping or whatever outdoor recreation you might enjoy...you can purchase one here

Well, I think that's a good place to stop for right now. I will, however, have more to say on it in the future as there is much, much more to it. Needless to say, though, this is an issue that is near and dear to my heart, as I was raised in the deer and turkey woods, and I know that is the same for many others who enjoy the great outdoors, as well. So, I would like your input. If you're a hunter, or know anyone who is a hunter, you or they may feel free to share your thoughts on the issue. Yes, and feel free also to share some of your hunting adventures.

We must all stick together and fight this ever-growing battle in order to retain our time-honored traditions and rights!

God Bless You, and thank you for reading!

Wise Saying Worth Heeding Part VIII

I chose today's wise saying as it applies to some of what I've been going through lately, and for the reason that it has helped me to come to terms with, and overcome some of what I've been going through...it comes from the book of James:

Starting with James 1:5-7

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting. for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."

And continuing in...

verses 12-18

"Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God," for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures."

Wise Saying Worth Heeding Part VII

Spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ to His disciples

If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will aslo keep yours. But all these things they will do to you n account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me. If I has not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. Whoever hates me hates my Father also.
(John 15:18-23)

All who believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ are also His disciples, and will be hated by the world, because the world has not understood it.

John 1:9-11 The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.

Homosexuals Permitted Into Lutheran Clergy

MINNEAPOLIS - Even though the Rev. Mark Chavez believes the leaders of his church made a decision in direct contradiction of the Bible by lifting a ban on sexually active, monogamous gays and lesbians as clergy, he said he's staying with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

"I'm not leaving," Chavez said Friday night, promising an effort to keep the church moving even further toward what he sees as an embrace of behavior condemned by Scripture.

Chavez, of Landisville, Pa., is director of Lutheran CORE, a conservative group within the ELCA that fought the homosexual clergy policy. The group will hold a convention in Indianapolis in September to review its next steps, but Chavez said he thinks some ELCA clergy, congregations and individual members will walk away from the nation's largest Lutheran denomination.
Read the full story... Credits go to OneNewsNow.Com - Your Source For News Right Now.

Rev. Mark Chavez is right. This will only further hurt the already big split in the Lutheran and Episcopal Orthodox Churches/mainline denominations by allowing homosexuals into the clergy of the ministry.

Scripture is clear on this issue:

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

That makes it absolutely clear with certainty.

God working through the apostle Paul, a minister and messenger for Jesus Christ said that for those who reject God's authority and the warnings set forth in His righteous Word that He would turn them over to a reprobate mind. Three times it is written: He gave them up.

Romans 1:24-28 "Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hears to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with mena nd receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done."

This is what happens you see, God puts before us a test to see whether or not we will accept or reject His plan for our life, and when we do not choose to follow His plan for our life, but instead, do things our own way, we have effectually failed the test, God's test and therefore, He rejects us and turns away His loving restraint that He places upon our hearts.

2 Peter also give us some incite into what will be the fate of such wicked desires and practices.

2 Peter 2:4-10 "For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes he condemned them to extinction, making them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked (for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard); then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under the punishment until the day of judgment, and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority."

Just a glimpse, but a vivid glimpse at that.

God bless!

Public School Children To Receive Bibles

Some wonderful news:

A weeklong campaign begins today with a goal of providing 60,000 free Bibles for Christian students to give to their friends in public schools

Visit OneNewsNow.com for more details.

This will be a major help, although all may not read their Bibles, certainly some will and will be given hope for their future. And if Christians would put their minds to it all across America, we could defeat the ACLU and we can thus, take back our Christian heritage, and renew the Spiritual guidance that our children need so desperately in these evil times. When children are being taught falsehoods in school all the way from kindergarten to young adults college students.

Pray for America, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with someone you don't know whenever you may be afforded the opportunity.

A little Bible verse for today - John 5:30- 'By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just. for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me..' And He is the example we should follow, to please Him and not to worry about courage, because He will supply the courage whenever we witness to somebody. Whenever we are in service to Him, then He reflects through us and others can see it, helping them to come toward the light, also.

God bless!

Stand Up!

Just recently, we've noticed an increased effort by homosexuals to pursue and/or force their lifestyles into law as special rights. Of course, this is basically anathema as it relates to the core of the issue. If one is accustomed to a broader view of the situation, morality seems to take a back seat with millions of Americans in our modern age and time. Yet, there are thousands of Christians who look upon it with confusion, as if they can't understand it, and seem to be otherwise de-sensitized to what is happening to America's system of law.

Before we go on, I'd like to share a little something about early Supreme Court judges, and the view that Thomas S. Grimke, I pioneer statesmen of early America, 1827 to be exact. He says-

It is emphatically a court of the whole people and of every State, of the Government of the Union and of the Government of every State. It is as independent of the President and Congress as of the Governor and Legislature of Sourth Carolina. Its members are selected from different States, and its bar gathers within its bounds the talents and learning, the courage, virtue, and patriotism, of the East and the West, of the NOrth and the South....No one, indeed, can possibly read the judgments of this tribunal-equally beneficent and illustrious-and not be deeply impressed with its wisdom and learning, its moral courage and justice, its high sense of duty, its love of peace and order, its indpendence, dignity, and patriotism. I know not any body of men who are entitled to more enlightened admiration, more sincere gratitude, more profound respect for their talents, learning, virtues, and services. Theirs is indeed a parental guardianship, full of moral dignity and beauty, sustained by the energy of wisdom and adorned by the simplicity of justice and truth.

And that last word, proclaimed by Grimke was ... truth.

Of this, there can be no doubt, truth adorned their every thought and action, as we will soon see in the honorable and wise Mr. Hooker, in this one quote...

Of law there can be no less acknowledged than that her seat is the bosom of God, her voice the harmony of the world. All things in heaven and earth do her homage; the very least feel her care, and the greatest are not exempt from her power. Both angels and men, and creatures of what condition soever, though each in a different sort and name, yet all with one uniform consent admire her as the mother of their peace and joy.

And those words, ...her seat is the bosom of God, are what should stick the most, as civil law sets the standard of what is right conduct and likewise wrong conduct for society, but, the law itself has to have something be based upon, or its foundation rather. What was it Grimke said about the judges he was giving a speech in tribute to? A few select words ... justice, moral dignity and lastly, and most importantly ... truth!! This is the foundation that our laws have, is in truth ... then we ask ourselves, what is truth? Truth is God's Word, as it came first, and is what every civil nation has based their system of law on.

Now, you may be wondering what is all has to do with sodomy ... well, if you're of the current generation, you're probably not accustomed to the earliest laws on sodomy, and the reason for this, is the past 15-20 years or so in education has been strictly controlled by the liberals whose ideology is of the mind that "Separation of Church and State" means "you aren't allowed to mention any parts of the Bible in school or any public place, when, to the contrary, that's not what "Separation of Church and State" was designed to do - "Separation of Church and State" was designed to keep the government from interfering with our Christian faith, by not telling us what we may or may not do. We may, as Christians pray in a public setting amongst colleagues, classmates, lead by the prayer, in an office of authority consisting of a city council we may pray if we so desire ... yet, in all these places, children and adults alike are being silenced because of our beliefs. If you notice, however, in the classroom setting, during a time of holdiay festivites teachers are permitted at halloween for example, to teach about witches, demons, goblins, devils and the like, at easter they may teach about the "easter bunny" instead of our Lord's triumph over the grave, at Christmas, they may teach about "Santa Claus" instead of the birth of our Lord. Among the older age classes, in the higher learning, high school for example, in science, teachers may teach Darwinian evolution instead of the account of Creation found in Genesis 1 of the Bible. So, for the most part, you can see how liberals along with their allies the ACLU have used their definition of "Separation of Church and State" to take control of our schools, using it as a tool for persecution.

The same applies to sodomy, only, in sodomy, it is taken to a more extreme level, as if their defintion of "Separation of Church and State" wasn't already extreme enough...

The first fact that must be acknowledged before all others are considered - Sodomy is wrong. That's the first thing that you must remember.

Why is it wrong?

The first reasons and laws against homosexuality can be found in God's Word

Genesis 1:27

'So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and famle he created them.'

So this means that God specifically made them male and female so they could be attracted to each other, as he made them compatible. This is also symbolizes God's plan of salvation, as Jesus is the head of the church and wants us to come and be united with Him in spirit being also fruitful and spreading the good news so other souls may be won.

This next verse deals with Sodom and Gomorrah, in which God destroyed as a result of men perverting God's nature-

Gensesis 19:4-8

'Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom-both young and old-surrounded the house. They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them." Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him and said, "No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing. Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don't do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.'

These next two verses in Leviticus, deal specifically with the law that God ordered concerning homosexuality-

Leviticus 18:22-

"'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.'

Leviticus 20:13-

"'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.'

These next verses in Judges deal with the horrible death of the concubine of which the homosexuals abused by rape unto death, which proves the wickedness of the homosexual mindset...

Judges 19:22-36

"While they were enoying themselves, some of the wicked men of the city surrounded the house. Pounding on the door, they shouted to the old man who owned the house, "Bring out the man who came to your house so we can have sex with him." The owner of the housewent outside and said to them, "No, my friends, don't be so vile. SInce this man is my guest, don't do this disgracesful thing. Look, here is my viergin daughter, and his concubine. I will bring them out to you now, and you can use them and do to them whatever you wish. But to this man, don't do such a disgraceful thing." But the men would not listen to him. So the man took his concubine and setn her outside to the, and they raped her and abused her throughout the night, and at dawn they let her go. At day-break the woman went back to the house where her master was stayig, fell down at the door and lay there until daylight."

Now, today, homosexuals through the reprobate state that they exist, deny God's condemnation of homosexuality, and even many heterosexual people will deny it, and so, they look past the Old Testament and say, "Let's go to the New Testament" clearly referring to Jesus life that never mentioned certain practices, but always condemned sin, which He, Himself, lived the perfect example of a sin-free life, and it was at death that he took on the sin of the world to death, and His death reperesents what sin does to the Spirit, only He proved it with actualy sacrificing His life on our behalf, so that we would have an escape from the punishment that is hell as the end result of sin. The second thing that His death on the Cross represents is that we must die out to sin (meaning: Get sin out of our life), and ask Jesus for forgiveness, putting on a new self (new life), in that we want to serve Satan no longer.

Now, the Apostle Paul, a Servant of Jesus Christ can testify to these things, as to what rebellion against God's Holy Spirit does because of the sinful desire that homosexuality. So, let us examine what the New Testament says through the Apostle Paul in the book of Romans.

Romans 1:24-32-

'Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. IN the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Futhermore, since they did not think it worthwile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not be done. They have bcome filled with evrer kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only contnue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.'

So, you see, that passage in Romans is describing our day and age perfectly. So many who proclaim to be "Christians" have sit back in Church every Sunday and do not care what is happening to our society, and how our laws are being changed to be more benefiting those committing the perversions that seek to destroy us. Book stores that sell filthy pornographic magazines are a contributor of the problem we are having in society, as the verse where it says "even the women have abandoned natural relations with men" can testify to this, are boldly proclaiming this day and age to be lesbians.

The key here is, the law is only as powerful as those who allow it, as the law rests in the hands of those whom you elect to office. As Christians, if we will put our minds to it, we can stop a lot of the filth that is being peddled. But to go on a bit further before I close...

These next verses in the little book of Judge help to explain to us what the final punishment for the sin of homosexuality is...

Jude verses 7-8

'In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding townds gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They servre as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. In the very same way, these dreasmers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings.'

And 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

'Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.'

And that is what many were, but praise be to God, they have now changed are washed from the sin that kept them from entering the door to peace and assurance.

So, after all that, we need to ask the homosexual this one thing ... What moral backing do they have to commit the sinful act of sodomy?

And the truth is, they have no moral reasoning whatsoever to support their lifestyle ... in other words, they don't have a leg to stand on. For the Bible specifically prohibits the practice. There are no reasons, biologically, physically, psychologcally, or otherwise ... homosexuality is an abomination (the key word: abomination) in the eyes of Almighty God. Therefore, it must be avoided.

Now, I know there are many of you that are good Christian folks, and are concerned about the issue as many other Christians are, including myself. Many ministers of churches are being persecuted for so-called "hate-crimes" laws in areas all around the country for not participating in the union of same-sex couples, and the ultimate goal is to silence Christians, and thereby, forcefully manipulate the judicial system in their favor, favoring the wickedness that is sodomy. So, the sodomites have the "hate-crimes" backwards. It is the sodomites themselves who are committing the hate-crime! Make no mistake about it! And whenever those of us proclaiming to be heterosexuals do not stand up for what we believe is right, we are also condemned in the same manner as the homosexuals, because we permit the homosexual to legislate their depravity onto the majority of society, a massive hate-crime. Added to this, is the fact that we are not only permitting them to legislate their depravity, but we are also standing for, or approving of the indoctrination of school children and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

My fear is that it will only get worse before it gets better. So, stand up and fight for what is right, and vote for judges and representatives that will also represent your views as American Christians, but most importantly on what the truth is, and what is the truth, again? The Word of the Living God.

You have that chance, in approximately 67 days from now, when we have the chance to vote for Sen. John McCain and Sarah Palin!

God bless you all, and may He continue to bless America!

What Makes America The Greatest Among Nations?

Opportunity, we have an endless variety of work available to us. Education - We are blessed with the option to obtain the knowledge necessary to pursue and do our job with the skills required. We are blessed with a bounty of good food...we sow and reap the harvest to feed a Nation of over 300,000,000 people. Freedom - The Greatest of all. We are blessed with the Freedom to choose our own paths in life, through this freedom we have become a nation of diverse people.

What about our culture?

As was mentioned, through the freedom that we have, great diversity abounds, but in the larger scene of things the real question that should be answered is, how did we get here? How did we become such a Nation of the greatest freedom of any country on earth? Well, we won't go all the way back to the 15-1600s when America was settled, that's a long, long story...We'll start off with the date-April 30, 1789. Do you know who became our President on that date? If you said George Washington, you got it right. How much do we know about George Washington? Well, we know he was the first President of these here United States of America, we know he endured many hardships through much war and turmoil, but what stood out the most about George Washington? He was a praying, God-fearing man, of all the things Washington done, that's what stood out the most about him. Here's what two noted political figures in history had to say about the man; from - Webster and Thomas Jefferson:

Webster

"The character of Washington," said Webster, "is a fixed star in the firmament of great names, shining without twinkling or obscurity, with clear, steady, beneficent light. It is associeated and blended with all our reflections on those things which are near and dear to su. If we think of the independence of our country, we think of him who was so prominent in achieving it; if we think of the Constitution which is over s, we think of him who did so much to establish it, and whose adminsistration of its powers is acknowledged to be a model for his successors. If we think of glory in the field, of wisdom in the cabinet, of the purest patriotism, if the highest integity, public and private, of morals without a stain, of religious feelings without intolerance and without extravagance, the August figure of Washington presents itself as the personation of all these ideas."

Thomas Jefferson

"On the whole," said Jefferson, "it may be truly said that never did nature and fortune combine more perfectly to make a great man, and to place him in the same constellation with whatever wothies have merited from man an everlastiong remembrance. His integrity was the most pure, his justice the most inflexible, I have ever known."

I take particular notice of where Webster says, "Of religious feelings without intolerance...Hmmmm, that strikes me, but not a surprise at all...You see, George Washington was a Christian man, as Christianity was the faith and life of our ForeFathers, as it was through God's Only Son Jesus Christ that we have freedom from the bondage that enslaves us as individuals in this world controlled by the "Prince of this World" and who is the "Prince of this world", you might ask? Satan. But, you see, the Prince of this world has no power over The 'King of kings' our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who came to become sin that we might be freed from sin...and this is why he shunned no one away...Jesus said in Matthew 11:28...'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon yu and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. And, you see, these were the attributes that our ForeFathers held in such high esteem, they took our Lord's teachings and applied them in everything they done in order that the people would follow their example so that peace would fill the land. George Washington not only welcomed others to join and be a part of the Family of God, he always stressed the importance of prayer and devotion to God and attaining Salvation so that everybody could work toward the goal that will earn us the ultimate of gifts, and it's Free.. Eternal life.

Oh, if only today were like in those days, eh? Yes, indeed, we would not see the turmoil that we are seeing. You know, I hear so much these days coming from liberals about the tolerance idea and how in their definition that tolerance has shaped America to be welcoming to others of differing backgrounds....Yes, that's true, but if only people would strive to understand the origination of their freedom and what freedom means...Jesus told Thomas, yes, ol' doubting Thomas..."Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." And, you see, that's where people have not taken heed, it's kind of like in the scientific community, the scientists place their faith in what they can actually see, and they won't believe until they get the actual result they are looking for and can see happen through a physical perception of an event or discovery. Yes, all that we can learn, we must strive to learn, but what is behind it all, the Creation of it all, is not just "meta-physical" no, He is real, more real than you could imagine, just sitting there, you should be well aware that through God's power you are enabled to breathe every breath of fresh air that you breathe, ever single living soul.

Ok, I want now, to go at some length about this tolerance thing, it's taken me some time to come up with the right words to explain it...I understand it clearly, the problem is as clear as day, I just had to come up with the right words so that others, you, may understand it more fully, and I pray that God will speak to your heart as I share with you the difference and actual meaning of the two very different understandings of tolerance as we know them.

Let me first begin by saying...what exactly is there that we should tolerate and are there limits on what we should tolerate...To come to a clearer understanding of what we should tolerate, let's ask ourselves...What would Jesus tolerate? And how his answer would affect our current, modern day culture.

These are some of the things that we should ask ourselves...

Would Jesus tolerate abortion?....? Stupid question, right? Of course, without a doubt. Jesus would never condone the murder of the little children!
What about the people that commit the act of abortion, would Jesus tolerate them? The answer is...yes, He would. You see, Jesus still loves those, whom, even though they are committing an act of sin, defined by the God of creation as murder.

Homosexuality....Does Jesus tolerate homosexual people? Yes, He does. Now, this is not saying that He will always protect them, He still loves them, but He does not tolerate the act that they are committing. You see, to God, Sodomites are not Sodomites, but sinners that He loves dearly and wants them to turn from their sin so that they might be spared the anguish of eternal torment and inherit eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. And to go back to what I said about this is not saying that He will not always protect them, and you ask why? Here's how you can understand it...when someone commits a crime, and the police arrests them...if person committing the criminal act, misdemeanor/felony, whatever, says that they are sorry for the crime that they had committed and says that they will never do it again, does this mean that the police can just let them go on their word? No! Even though they are sorry and ask for forgiveness, they must still pay the price for their crime under the law. This sets a precedent for others to heed in the future, and those who've had to pay the penalty for their crime can thereby, be witnesses to the law, so that others may strive to do good and therefore, escape the consequences of the law.

Now, let's ask yourself this...Let's say for a hypothetical situation, let's say the criminal in question is allowed to go free without paying the penalty for his crime...what kind of message does this send? In this instance it would be tolerance for not only the person but for the crime also, sending the message that criminal behavior is ok.

So what can tolerance in the latter form be considered as? Tolerance in the latter form equals complacency, a government giving no thought or concern for its citizens. And so, what is the end result? A Nation out of control!

Third...Idolatry. Does God tolerate Idolaters? Yes. Does He tolerate idolatry? No! Absolutely not. God loves the idolaters as persons, but He literally abhors the act or sin of idolatry.

As I said in an earlier paragraph, it is so amazingly unbelievable that our society cannot understand this basic principle, those of us who have been grounded in the Word of God can understand it clearly...but those who want to take the easy road, such as liberals, humanists, and atheists are the very people responsible for this opinionated ideology of "tolerance" in their own terms. The humanist ideology has no basis in fact, because their point of view is convoluted from their pereception of what is and what is not; for example - I could say that "I am walking upside down", that "all humans walk upside down" .... Would I be right? Well, in my own mind, yes, I would be *chuckles*. So it is with the atheist/humanist argument that there is "no God." In their minds they feel that they have it correct, but that's as far as it goes, and no further.

We must go from the original perception of ideas, which is where true tolerance originated. God shows us clearly what He tolerates and what He does not. When Adam and Eve were in the garden and and they disobeyed God's orders, right then and there is where God showed that He will not tolerate sin. From that time forward, God set down in stone the things that He will not tolerate throughout His entire Word.

Now, let's go back to the problem and see if we can find a solution to all this.

Ok, we know the problem is sin. That's fact #1...and we know that God does not in no way, shape, or form tolerate sin. We further know that the modern day culture of America is very tolerant of the many lifestyles that are displeasing to God, lifestyles that are considered sin or abomination (same thing) to God.
When we fine tune this down to a fraction of a fraction, what do we have?

This is it, folks, the problem refined to a tiny dot the size of the head of a pen...

Pay attention...

The people of America have become tolerant of those who have no tolerance...Did you get that? Let me say it again, in bold this time...The people of America have become tolerant of those who have no tolerance

Now you must be wondering, who are these people in America who've become tolerant of those who are intolerant?

Do you know who it is? Christians, yes, you, Christians. Now I don't know if any of you reading are Christians or not, but if so, know this, and know it well ... You have professed to know God, and you say you love Him...but here we are, America's freedom is disappearing. Your freedom, the Christian's freedom is being taken away.

Can you pray in your school? No. Why not? Because you, the professing Christians have allowed or become tolerant of the intolerant ideas that the ACLU puts forth, even going to the extremes of putting their agenda into the law of the land, mind you, as a means to rob you of that freedom. Let me tell you, people, the ACLU does not hold your rights to prayer, then who does? Our heavenly Father above. So, do you see where this is going? The ACLU screams, "No Prayer in school" and you, the professing Christians say, "Ok, no problem" thus, one of your freedoms has been taken from you, because you, the professing Christian tolerated the idea of "No prayer in school." It is you, the professing Christian who says, "Homosexual marriage is "ok"" It is you, the professing Christian who says, "Everything is fine, just so long as I have lots of money." It is you, the professing Christian who says, "Abortion is acceptable".

There you have it.

In closing.

There's three things that happen to a Nation before it collapses, swallowed up in destruction...

One - Abortion - Two...Homosexuality - Three - Idoloatry.

America is presently in all three!

Is it too late to save America?

That's up to you, the professing Christian....Which will it be? Are you going to act in the manner of Jesus and say, 'No more murder of the unborn' or "Let genocide reign"?

Before I go, if your mind is made up about all these issues, and you wish to tolerate the ACLU and their deceitful evil agenda, just remember what Jesus told his disciples:

Luke 21:34-36 -

Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on your unexpectedly like a trap. For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand begfore the Son of Man.

Some would call John the Baptist, a messenger for Jesus a "Radical" ... Well, he was definitely on fire with the truth fully on and in his heart, and he warned the people about living a life in defiance of the King of kings. His (John the Baptist's) duty, is the same duty that we as Christians have today, and that is to proclaim truth.

Friends, you don't have to open your mind, just open your heart and hear what the Spirit has to say.

This the freedom that our ForeFathers brought with them, shouldn't we want to do the same?

God bless!

Daily Reading from the Bread of Life

Numbers 17:10-11 (NIV)

"The Lord said to Moses, "Speak to the Israelites and get twelve staffs from them, one from the leader of each of their ancestral tribes. Write the name of each man on his staff. On the staff of Levi write Aaron's name, for there must be one staff for the head of each ancestral tribe. Place them in the Tent of Meeting in front of the Testimony, where I meet with you. The staff belonging to the man I choose will sprout, and I will rid myself of this constant grumbling against you by the Israelites."

"So Moses spoke to the Israelites, and their leaders gave him twelve staffs, one for the leader of each of their ancestral tribes, and Aaron's staff was among them. Moses placed the staffs before the Lord in the Tent of Testimony."

"The next day Moses entered the Tent of the Testimonye and saw that Aaron's staff, which rep[resented the house of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds."

"Then Moses brought out all the staffs from the Lord's presence to all the Israelites. They looked at them, and each man took his own staff."

"The Lord said to Moses, "Put back Aaron's staff in front of the Testimony, to be kept as a sign to the rebellious. This will put an end to their grumbling against me, so that they will not die." Moses did just as the Lord commanded him."

"The Israelites said to Moses, "We will die! We are lost, we are all lost! Anyone who even comes near the tabernacle of the Lord will die. Are we all going to die?"

What did the revivascence of Aaron's staff represent?

Whenever a small sapling is hewn down, the life remaineth no more within it, and whenever it is laid in a dry place, it cures and makes a nice walking staff, or sceptre. It must have been pretty amazing to wake up, and go to find your staff had sprouted into a green tree again, huh? Why did God do this? Well, there's probably two reasons.

First, it was as a sign to the rebellious, a meaning of life, and what it truly is. You see, before Christ came to earth, God had to speak through the people in different ways, so they would have faith. God gives us life, and then due to man's fallen nature, because of sin we die, but if we remain faithful and obey God's commands, we can have life again. How does He give us Life again? Through His Holy Spirit!

This was also as a prophetic sign to the people, of the coming Messiah - Jesus Christ!

God bless!!
