It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

I woke up this morning, and this is what I saw...

Snow - small white crystals of frozen water formed directly from the water vapor of the air when the temperatures at the lower levels of the atmosphere are at or below the freezing mark of 32 degrees Fahrenheit, or 0 degrees celsius.

I looked out this morning and the trees and ground are covered in a thick layer of fluffy, wet snow. Remembering back now at how pretty and green everything was in the summer months, with garden and all now blanketed over. I guess all things must have a resting period. So, we'll have to be careful about hitting the roads this weekend.

Joe Bastardi with Accuweather is predicting we will have a colder and more snowy winter than usual here in the East. It appears that it's shaping up to be that way. Well, that's good, because the snow is good for the ground water supply, but we'll have to wait and see...we still have 3 months of winter to go.

I'm hoping that it will look like this on Christmas day this year. We haven't had snow for the past two or three years, the ground has been bare.

Oh yeah, and so much for "global warming," huh?

Update: As of noon eastern time, the snow is coming down pretty heavy, the wind is blowing and drifting the snow.
