MIKE HUCKABEE ON THE ISSUE OF EDUCATION!

How did we move in one generation from a society with a shared, confident sense of right to a society of relativism and moral decay? The first step to answering that question is to admit there isn't just one answer. I've heard that it all started when we took prayer out of schools. That's a simplistic answer. It wasn't just prayer in schools; it wasn't just TV, it wasn't just Watergate; it wasn't just welfare.
If any force is going to overcome a free, prosperous country like America, it won't happen all at once. Amreica has a solid foundation of liberty, personal dignity, and opportunity.

The only way to destroy something with that kind of foundation is to chip away at it, one value at a time. Take away its heart and essence. Bring doubt to what used to be confidence, denial to what used to be faith, death to what was life. I think that is what has happened.

And of course, he's right ... the moral decay in our society is simply because God's people have sit back and allowed organizations such as the ACLU and Atheist organizations to impose their degenerative and worthless agendas on the whole of America. These orgaizations are how the core of our values have been destroyed in America, through co-ops with Activist Liberal Judges legislating from the bench within our Supreme Courts system, thus the laws (not really "laws", but merely IDEOLOGIES) mind you, that are placing the most influence upon the upbringing of our children within the school system, and thus, the STATE has in their power to prohibit your right, as you see fit, to share and express your freedom of religious expression.

What does this mean?

It means that we can no longer share that HOPE that sets us (mankind) free from the bondages of sin, with others who so desperately need it.That inspiration in their lives in order for them to experience the joy and peace of God's Love, that can only come through knowing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

If there's ever a gift that any Christian as a student could give a classmate and school friend for Christmas, it would be to be able to share the Greatest gift of all to mankind...The Plan of Salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord!

As we celebrate once more the gift of our Savior, and Lord willing, into the New Years, as we reflect upon the state of our country...try to search it in your heart to make a humble resolution to ask God for guidance and wisdom in your judgement to elect officials who will help to bring back God-fearing attributes to our governmental institutions, and that God will help our Leaders to govern accordingly, to His standards of Righteousness, in order that we may humbly implore His favor...

As I see it, Mike Huckabee is the person that has these attributes and qualities, I find in Mike Huckabee a man who has the God given talents of Leadership, for a betterment of American Values in looking forward to the future.

God bless!

  1. Jeremiah,

It is a tricky situation - knowing what needs to be done, and yet still working within the agreed-upon American framework on such matters. We were discussing in our Church group this past Saturday morning how, as we've grown in faith, we've all become less shy about sharing the message of Our Lord - but there is still a time and a place for everything, and much as school is actually a good time and place for the Gospel, in our pluralistic society its just a non-starter.

This is why school choice is such a silver bullet for what ailes American education. We don't agree - and that is fine; but if we could dismantle the top-down, socialist public school model in favor of a decentralised series of systems in which religous denominations could participate, then we'd find we're able to preach Our Lord's message in our schools - and as we are confident that our schools would become all the better for that, the presumption would be that even non-believers would send their kids, thus giving us a chance to reach them, and their parents.

The ALCU did a disservice by trying to ban the practice of religion from the public square - but God will always turn everything to the good...and I think the breakdown of the public school system resultant upon the exiling of God from it will prove a blessing in disguise - a chance for us to really build an education system for the benefit of the kids in the largest sense of the word rarther than, as now, having a system primarily dedicated to preserving and increasing the privileges and pay of a selct group.

  2. Mark,

No doubt, it is a tricky business, but something that we can't afford to back-away on.

The best way, I believe, to get our school systems on a moral basis, is for the denominations to come together, and focus on the main message, that of the bible, it's pretty straightfoward, if you will, in Creation and so-forth, there's really not much in the way of interpretation, lest we be found without the Lord's Will.

    More importantly...

It's the disparate treatment of our school systems, by the organizations and government leaders that is the reason for this already now.

You know, it really amazes me, at the ingenuity of our appointed Judicial Leaders and the decisions they are called upon to make, and yet, deliver such sectarian views against our own people, against the people who built this Great Nation, against the God of All Creation.

So, the way I see it, we are called to obey the Laws of the land, but when those laws come into conflict with God's Laws then we have a problem. Because God gave us his commandment to spread the good news in the very last chapter of Matthew 28:18-20--

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

That was the Great Commission with Jesus and His disciples.

So, that is our duty as followers of Christ, but when the government turns their laws in so much as to hinder God's Law it takes us all the way back to the book of Jeremiah chapter 32 when the people placed the powers of the States above that of the Creator, and thus, provoked God's fierce anger.

I do believe that the Lord is allowing these things that we are experiencing now to test us, but when the day of Justice arrives, we needn't fear, for God's Grace is always with His people.

    BTW, Thanks for commenting, Mark.
    :)

  3. Jeremiah,

As we know the gates of Hell will not prevail against us, we know that we'll win this thing in the end.

  4. Washington - When it comes to education policy, Mike Huckabee looks more like Hillary Clinton than a conservative Republican. Apparently, the National Education Association agrees. Today, Mike Huckabee will receive the recommendation of the New Hampshire affiliate of the National Education Association along with Democrat Hillary Clinton in their respective presidential primaries

No doubt, the NEAs endorsement has something to do with Huckabees opposition to private school choice and his support for a federally mandated and funded arts and music curriculum, said Club for Growth President Pat Toomey. Like Hillary Clinton, Mike Huckabee puts the interests of a labor union ahead of childrens education.

Big unions are what is wrong with education. Why does Mike Huckabee get endorsed by teachers unions?

    Forgot the cite.

Liberal unions, like the one that wanted to blame the US for 9/11, endorse Mike Huckabee for president.
