Sotomayor Hearings

President Barack Obama's recent pick for the Supreme Court nomination has recently said, "It's not the Court's job to make law, but to apply the law."

Well, at least she got half of it right, that it's not the Court's job to make law, but the Court cannot apply law either. The Court's job is to interpret the Constitution so that it can be applied by the legislative branch of government, and rejecting any individual's injection of their own interpretation based on personal feelings into it so that the Constitution remains supreme.

In my honest opinion, I don't think Sonia Sotomayor would make a very good Judge, precisely because she will do what she says in her own words is not the Court's job, and that it is making policy, which is power not delegated to the Court. This, of course, because there are 'universal truths' that the federal government must adhere to, truths which transcend all others, from the Providence of Almighty God.

This is why we have the Tenth Amendment, so as to keep the government in check, and that they do not overstep their bounds with the authority granted them. The federal government's powers are strictly defined, and the states retain all power delegated to them by the people and that can't be denied by the federal Constitution.

The issue is one of sovereignty, which I am thinking about writing a column on.

Using The Law To Silence

A pro-life pastor in California is being silenced for his opposition to abortion, and publicly proclaiming his opposition outside of abortion mills. Although the video surveillance camera that was monitoring pastor Hoye's activity proved that he did not break the law, the judge decided in spite of the retrospect truth to charge pastor Hoye.

It is tyrannical and fascist what judges all across our nation are doing, and all just so they can make a buck and continue letting unborn children die at the hands of these cold-blooded abortion doctors.

God help America!

Federal Judge Caught Posting Obscene Material to the Internet

You know society is going down-hill fast when ourFederal Judges are violating the laws that they set out to administer. While these sorts of things are becoming a weekly to daily dilemma and continue, it only proves that the majority of America is satisfied with the shape things are in morally as long as their wallets are well lined with green, and ever more support is given to the "anything goes" agenda, with selfish reconciliation as a means to suit their own wants and desires. Thus, the law bends and approves of the actions that further divide and seperate America from God's Law of Love.

As for those of us who would prefer that the degeneration stop, and begin to see a modicum of decency replaced, the only recourse we have is through prayer, and if we earnestly do this, then God's favor will be returned once again.
