Wise Saying Worth Heeding Part XIII: Pray for America

Ronald Reagan once said,

"If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.

No more perfect time could that be realized than right now, when our leaders are moving us ever further toward total dependence on the government and away from our reliance upon God our Creator for our needs.

So I ask you, won't you pray for America, that the people of this nation would never forget that we are 'One Nation Under God.' That is how the founders of this country envisioned it when they drafted and signed the Constitution of this Republic.

God bless you, and thank you for reading today!

Prayer for a Friend

"I pray as I write this that God will sort out my thoughts, and as I write, He will guide my heart, my thoughts, and my fingers. May the words be clear and consise and full of meaning - so it will be valuable not only for me but for all who pass by here."

There are times I am led to pray for someone- and may never know why. This is one of those times. I do know that what I have to write is very important to someone - if it is you, then I praise God! Please take the time to let me know. You are very valuable to the Father, for Him to place you on my heart so heavy right now!

Prayer is a very strange thing - something that if you have never done it, you can't really understand just what it is. That is, unless you view it in the right way. Prayer is talking with God. It's not one way, and there is no set pattern. It's part of a relationship with the Father. Consequently, the style of prayer you pray greatly reflects your relationship with your Heavenly Father.

Prayer does not give you spiritual power, but rather aligns your life with God so that he chooses to demonstrate His power through you.

It is not to convince God to change your circumstances- that is not its purpose. Instead, it prepares you to become involved in God's activity.

When we look at Pentecost, we see much that the disciples had to learn about prayer, too. They were told to stay there and to wait. Jesus told them to wait, and they did - they prayed and waited. They didn't understand what they were waiting for. (Just as you may not know what God is asking you to wait for.)

As they waited and prayed, they were adjusting their lives to what God intended next. Their lives were never the same after that.

Your waiting time right now is a time to adjust your life for what God is going to do next!

The Pentecost prayer did not induce the Spirit to come upon them. It brought the people to a place where they were ready to participate in the great work God had already planned.

As they waited and prayed, a unity developed. They used the scriptures to guide their decision. (For the replacement of Judas)

And their prayer prepared them for their obedient response.

This time of prayer and waiting is to adjust you to God's will - not visa versa.

Adjust your praying to align with God's agenda.

God is more interested in what He wants to see happen in you than what you would like to see happen.

I dont know who you are, or what you are seeking, but please know God loves you with a never-ending love! He gave His Son for you- and He will withold no good gift from you. Enter into His presence with a grateful and humble heart - and tell Him your need. Give Him your heart, and not whatever or whoever is keeping you from Him!

Father, I pray for this seeker, or seekers, that you will open their eyes to what you are wanting them to know. Let them feel your awesome love, and experience the awesome power in your grace. I pray they will know the meaning of an intimate relationship with you, and will daily experience intimate communication with you!

Father, Thank you for allowing me to be a vessel,...You are truly awesome! Amen.

Wendy's power praise messages.

Time - What It's Worth

My Dear Readers,

I just wanted to take enough time to extend you an apology for not being able to spend more time fighting the good fight in the Culture War in the blogosphere. However, there has been much needed time that I had passed up during the past that I could have been doing more important things, things that I have neglected to take into consideration, things that should come first in our lives - like spending spare time with our families which is the central pillar of support of every institution in any society, without the family, every society crumbles, and will crumble.

In this; I have failed, dear friends, it seemed to me like the time I spent on the blogosphere took "top priority" when I should have been encouraging those who always looked up to me - consequently - my shortcoming became the downfall of my dear brother Lucas...As you may know, I informed you that Lucas has become addicted to alcohol, and I believe much of the reason for his addiction is where I have failed to do my part and spending quality time with him trying to explain the facts of life to him. This is one of the main reasons I haven't spent nearly as much time blogging lately as I have in the past, and have come today to inform you that I won't be blogging nearly at former rates. Lately, I have spent much lost time weeping and praying daily for God's grace and mercy. And you know, it seems this time of sorrow in my life has drawn me closer to the Lord - I have gained much needed peace and strength from my daily devotions.

Please do continue to remember Lucas in your prayers.

What is time worth to you?

Well, for me at least, lately it has meant...It's how you use your time that makes all the difference, what we may think is worth more at the spare of the moment in our own thinking, that isn't always going to be the case....but if we listen to what the Lord is trying to tell us, then life can be much brighter and happier not just for ourselves, but for others as well, who need our support through our faith and devotion in prayer.

See y'all around!

God bless!

Prayer Request

I'm sure all of you who read my posts on a regular basis have wondered about some of the other contributing authors here, one of them being, my brother, Lucas...

Well, I have some unfortunate news to bring, folks, I talked to my brother earlier this week, and came to find that Lucas has acquired addiction to alcohol. I've tried to talk to him and persuade him on this potentially life-threatening addiction that he has, but it seems as if my words just go right over top of his head as if he never heard them. He told me, he said, "I just don't know what to do anymore, Jeremiah", and I told him, I said, "Well, Lucas, it's like this, when we don't try to serve the Lord the way we should, and we go looking for comfort and restitution in ourselves from the worldly people, who do the exact same thing that you are doing (going out to bars, and clubhouses), partying and living it up in sin, then the Lord can allow terrible things to happen to us, in order to make you look up to Him, when it was Him you should have looked to in the first place."

Well, Lucas was about half dazed when I told him that, and he said, "You know, Jeremiah, you're pretty good guy." He never paid a bit of attention.

Me and my brother were very close for a long time, and it's just hard for me to accept that he is destroying his life the way he is, and that's why I'm asking you to pray along with me that the Lord might convict Lucas of his addiction. Let's pray that Lucas will come back...that his body would be made so that he no-longer desires that life-destroying substance in his hand, and that he will have a desire to glorify Our Lord.

Wonderful News!

A Victory for God's people in the state of Missouri, the Missouri State House voted on a proposed Constitutional amendment to allow public prayer as stated in the Bill of Rights, as long as it doesn't bother others within the vicinity. Schools are also required to display the Bill of Rights in their buildings. The amendment will be voted on in the Senate next.

The vote passed by a 132-11 margin.

If this Nation will look to God, and seek His face, we will continue to see great things happen. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says this: 'If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.'

As the last days are upon us, those verses should be a call to all who hear them, and to take heed the calling that the Lord has laid upon each ones' heart, the Bible speaks of these last days in 1 Timothy 4:1-5 - 'Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.'

As those verses give us a sense of, and the signs for the last days, as Christians, here are some of the things we should take care to acknowledge in these last times; regarding our steadfast approach, found in the First Epistle of John 2:15-17, Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

Continue to pray for America. Give thanks and praise in all things.

God bless!

The Tax Man Cometh!!!!!!

Senator Obama said today, "We have nothing to fear, but fear itself.' Pretty funny coming from a man who wishes to impose a tax increase on America by 39.6% income taxation on all small business owners on up the scale, and likewise, his running rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton; whose plan of "free" universal healthcare would increase taxes by the same margins, maybe even higher. Small business owners would not be able to adjust to the drastic increase ... in effect, having to forfeit reasonable wages to their hired hands, and giving opportunities to those of illegal status by underbidding for those same jobs, and being paid "under-the-table" wages.

This would feed a boost to the Super-Rich elite of the Democratic party, with all three branches of government being in control - Hunt's Ketchup owned by John Kerry as he inhereted through his wife, comes to mind.

This is the Robin Hood mentality that is characteristic of the Left: Take from the Rich and give to the poor.

Debt would be forced by demanding that the poor seek out more government subsidies, giving more and more and more power to the State to run our lives. This tax increase would encourage local governments everywhere, to increase taxes, which would place more burdens on those that are already overtaxed in the small business sector of the country - Communism.

Government control at it's finest. So, I think we DO ... have something to fear, and it is Mr. Obama himself. Mr. Obama can keep touting his rhetoric, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself." Let me tell you, folks, fear can save you a lot of heartache, and the only way to avoid that, is to listen to what your conscience tells you, which tells us that Mr. Obama is dangerous.

The Boston Tea Party on its way...

Your thoughts...

No Vote!

Well, it looks like one voter's going to sit it out, this year, folks. As I'm sure many more will, and Dr. James Dobson is one of them.

I have decided in a motion, for the best interests of my party to not cast my ballot this fall. In consideration of the current crop of candidates and their records in many more ways than one as unsupportive of Traditional Conservative values; I cannot go against the principles as are customary and true to the Christian Conservative base of the Republican party. Many people have said they are willing to compromise, and move toward McCain because he is the lesser of two evils. Compromise is good when you've got good candidates on the ballot, but not good at all when a larger percentage of the the voter block, favors a candidate whom injects across party lines, corrupt and anti-moral, anti-life agendas into the fold. God would not be pleased with me if I were to go against what He teaches me I ought to do.

I know, I know, I've said that McCain is the best we've got, if he's the only one left in the race, but the more I find about him, the more I dislike his character and agenda. I was one step away from voting for the man just a few days ago, but now that I know what he stands for...there's just absolutely no way. I'll just wait until someone of more promise steps up to the plate.

There's still a chance that things could change in the next month, and governor Huckabee could pull some support, and if he does, however unlikely that is, but if he does, then my ballot will go henceforth accordingly.

America's in a fix, folks. If there was some way that I could get Huckabee the nomination, I would, but with the odds stacked against you in the millions of percentages, there's not much you can do...except pray, that's what I intend to do, and that's what I encourage all of you to do, too.

God bless!
