Finishing strong:
On his last full day in office, President Bush commuted the controversial sentences of two former Border Patrol agents convicted of shooting a Mexican drug runner in 2005.
Lefties, just as a fair warning, you can't say anything bad about one of the greatest leaders of our time, George W. Bush.
It really says something about our justice system, and a man with convictions, who devoted his entire leadership to the cause of good, who has the sheer courage and will to go against the grain. It shows the difference in what our justice system will fight for tooth and nail to defend (in this case, the "right" for people to enter this country and do as they please), and what the fear of Almighty God can accomplish ... to stand up for these two fine officers doing their duty to protect American citizens from people like that ill intended drug peddler.

President Bush's Farewell Speech
President Bush says farewell to his duties as America's Commander-in-Chief. Here is a transcript of the address from Fox News:
History, no doubt, will prove that George W. Bush was one of the greatest leaders of our time. Although many on the left, and the pundits creating the polls will cast him as "unfavorable", they have something to learn, and learn they will over the next four years. America, for the most part, has something to learn over the next few years as we move forward!
May we all be thankful for the courageous leader we had in George W. Bush, our 43rd President.

Tonight, with a thankful heart, I have asked for a final opportunity to share some thoughts on the journey we have traveled together and the future of our nation.
Five days from now, the world will witness the vitality of American democracy. In a tradition dating back to our founding, the presidency will pass to a successor chosen by you, the American people. Standing on the steps of the Capitol will be a man whose history reflects the enduring promise of our land.
This is a moment of hope and pride for our whole nation. And I join all Americans in offering best wishes to President-elect Obama, his wife, Michelle, and their two beautiful girls.
Tonight, I am filled with gratitude to Vice President Cheney and members of the administration; to Laura, who brought joy to this house and love to my life; to our wonderful daughters, Barbara and Jenna; to my parents, whose examples have provided strength for a lifetime.
And above all, I thank the American people for the trust you have given me. I thank you for the prayers that have lifted my spirits. And I thank you for the countless acts of courage, generosity and grace that I have witnessed these past eight years.
This evening, my thoughts return to the first night I addressed you from this house, September 11, 2001. That morning, terrorists took nearly 3,000 lives in the worst attack on America since Pearl Harbor.
I remember standing in the rubble of the World Trade Center three days later, surrounded by rescuers who had been working around the clock. I remember talking to brave souls who charged through smoke- filled corridors at the Pentagon and to husbands and wives whose loved ones became heroes aboard Flight 93.
I remember Arlene Howard, who gave me her fallen son's police shield as a reminder of all that was lost. And I still carry his badge.
As the years passed, most Americans were able to return to life much as it had been before 9/11. But I never did. Every morning, I received a briefing on the threats to our nation. And I vowed to do everything in my power to keep us safe.
Over the past seven years, a new Department of Homeland Security has been created. The military, the intelligence community, and the FBI have been transformed. Our nation is equipped with new tools to monitor the terrorists' movements, freeze their finances, and break up their plots.
And with strong allies at our side, we have taken the fight to the terrorists and those who support them. Afghanistan has gone from a nation where the Taliban harbored Al Qaeda and stoned women in the streets to a young democracy that is fighting terror and encouraging girls to go to school.
History, no doubt, will prove that George W. Bush was one of the greatest leaders of our time. Although many on the left, and the pundits creating the polls will cast him as "unfavorable", they have something to learn, and learn they will over the next four years. From the Echo Chamber...
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi uttered the following remarks today about President Bush:
Welll, God bless you too, Ms. Piglosi, for extending such kind and thoughtful generosities to our Greatest Leader President George W. Bush.
And just to extend the the kind thoughts in return...what a miserable failure you've been too, Madam Piglosi.
A lesson received is a lesson learned....if anyone ever tells you that Democrats are "bi-partisan".....Don't believe them.
God bless!

"You know, God bless him, bless his heart, president of the United States, a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject,"

State Of The Union
President Bush is scheduled to give his last State of the Union address at approximately 8:55 pm tonight. I'm hearing reports that he will concentrate primarily on earmark feform, and asking Congress to pass a tax relief, or stimulus package for the future, due to a sagging economy. Some have been reporting that Feds will make another 0.5% rate cut within the next couple days. How this all plays out, it's anyones guess, but there are definitely concerns mounting in regards to the economy. Hopefully things will work out and the stimulus package will help get things back to business as usual.
Other than the economy, I'd say President Bush will sum up his last State of the Union as a farewell to all in this great land that he appreciates so much, and doing what he could to keep America free.
It was a great honor to have you as our 43rd President, the Greatest President in U.S. History - President George W. Bush.
From all of us at Conservatives United! We must say, Thank You, from the depths of our heart, for all that you've done, and will continue to do!
God bless!

REPUBLICANS SCORE GREAT GAINS IN DIVIDENDS ACTION
Washington -
Needless to say, from the very first day that President Bush stepped into office, to this very day, Democrats have fought tooth and nail to pin President Bush to his duties as Commander in Chief and force, override (however you want to say it), a reckless agenda of defeat of the War on Terror, they have tried defunding, withdrawal...every trick in the book of Democrat playbook. And there's more...
Even after Nancy Pelosi and her cabal have called out some asinine steps for defeat, they moved to pass on top of the already massive spending bill, on cap-spending, they asked for an estimated extra 23 - 33,000,000,000 for other tax and spend programs ... benefits for illegals, welfare entitlements, SCHIP for low income families, and so forth.
It is a proven fact that as far as matters constraint are concerned, and spendings sake for that matter, Democrats just don't cut the slack, or 'get it' for that matter. They must think money "grows on trees," or something.
Although Democrats have Majority rule of the House in Congress, and even so...divided the country, Republicans have remained united and strong, and thus, been able to move with discretionary actions to keep things running and on time. More to the point, President Bush has a huge victory in working toward a worthy cause with his fine constituency of capable Leaders, by being able to continue the funding of our Honorable men and women in uniform who fight for our freedoms every single day.
Folks, we are truly blessed, to have a President with such Courage as our honorable Commander in Chief President George W. Bush ... to face the libel they (Democrats) spew forth on a daily basis about him, and not only only the Democratic officials in the hallowed halls of our Congress, but the people on the web sites such as Daily Kos, Democrat underground, MoveOn.org, and others who spew out some horrible, horrible stuff about our President.
To be able to take out the stuff those Web sites spew forth every single day, you've got somebody to be thankful too ... and you know who that is? ... Almighty God Creator of All that is and all that ever will be. Make no mistake, you can be proud to call yourself an 'American' with the man that is in the White House now.
Let him know how much you appreciate him this Christmas Season, and write him a special Thank You for putting up with the stuff that is put out against him every day on Daily Kos and others, But more importantly...
Thank him for protecting you, your family, and America!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Heading into the last days of the legislative session, Republicans in Congress and President Bush are chalking up some surprising victories on federal spending.
That has put Democrats on the defensive. From a campaign pledge to change the course of the war in Iraq to tax and spending plans, Democrats are now having to scuttle key elements of their agenda. The extent of their retrenchment will become clear this week as Congress moves to pass key spending bills.
